I shared this post with my Hearts mate Rico and he very much agrees
Does he agree that hearts are the league's third biggest dicks?

Rumours on the go he might not be only one of younger players leaving. Another couple unsettled and looking to move.Ā
Not surprised. I didn't think Emslie looked anywhere near to getting in our first team. Neither Bavidge or Marshall. Lobban stood out, but in a position we're well covered in. Boyd will likely go on loan this season too.Ā
It's difficult to see a good development pathway for our youngsters, and it doesn't seem like the club has figured it out yet. That's not a criticism either, we're in that middle ground as a club, where there's huge pressure to finish third, and we're not good enough as a team to carry young players. Any player who might be good enough to get straight in at a young age (17-19), will have probably moved down south already. Players that need the bit of extra development either go on loan or spend a year on our bench. That gap between u19s and first team is big, and so is the gap between the lower leagues and the SPFL. We basically need to hope that all our youngsters grew up in the area and are massive dandies, like Milne and Barron, in order for us to get them to sign deals and do the time required to develop.Ā
Maybe once the automatic euro league pish goes away, we'll have less pressure and we can begin to try something. It needs to be done in visible quotas, with the fans brought onside if we're to do it properly (just like everyone was primed in advance of Thelin's "project"). Targets of X minutes of youth player involvement per season, with players ineligible for inclusion in that total beyond their first full season. That'd force the hand of the manager, and also temper the recruitment in certain areas where we thought a youngster showed promise (for example, if we'd felt that Lobban was going to be good, we might not have signed Jensen, or whatever).Ā

Where the fuck did Millwall pull 5 million from? If memory serves Nisbet was their record signing prior to this.Ā Regardless my feeling was that we weren't going back in for any player we had on loan last season.Ā Ā
I think they've received a big cash injection from the lads at Reform UK.

It is after five o'clock so pour yourself a large one and get your online banking loaded up.
If you're not happy with what you find, phone a locksmithĀ
Ā
I don't think locksmiths deal with online banking, it's mainly if you're locked out of a physical door.

I've been on an emotional journey with this shirt, and have decided I like it enough now to pay £15 for a fake-almost-real version.

Ryan Duncan
Adam Emslie
I don't think Emslie will be getting a game. I reckon we might also try and find another position for Duncan.Ā
Get this lad signed, he looks like the Swedish Ryan Hedges.

Ā Not overly perturbed about this to be honest. I've never been massively impressed with him when I've seen him play.
Aye, I think there's probably a consistency issue with Mulligan, but he definitely has the potential to be good with a bit of direction. It's also another Scottish player, of which there are slim pickings at the moment it seems.

Would have like him at Dons so bit disappointed with this.Ā
Aye, a decent bit of business for them. Looks a good player, albeit one that might need a bit of coaching and strict instruction.Ā

The more I see it the more I'm inclined to think it's alright, and I think it'll look great when we add the League Cup to our trophy collection.
The strip is the only thing standing between us and silverware in my opinion.

Home top supposed to be out tomorrow and unfortunately my wife and daughter are both in Aberdeen tomorrow so if itās any good will be an expensive day for me. They are already talking about going straight to club shop from train station.Ā
For less than the cost of two strips, I can lie down on the train tracks before they enter the city.

The bollocks about ending extra time that we hear about very regularly (and will likely happen), is just that. Nine men trying to hold on for thirty minutes is great fun. The tension in the stadium for the fans is second to none (well, maybe penalties). We experienced that in the cup final, and it was a big part of the experience.Ā
-
Good end to the 90 in the Germany v Italy game. Extra time with Italy down to 9 men, equalising with a beauty of a free kick with the last kick.

Watched the second half, the Portuguese were pish. Like watching the Tims against us in the cup, totally toothless.

Pretty sure there would have been "Miovski to..." stories lined up in case we had drawn Celtic or Sevco as our opening game rather than Hearts.Ā A Hearts-Hibs derby on the first day would be "Hibs considering Shankland", and so on...
Bait and click.
If that was the case, surely they could have added a bit about us being in for shankland too?

By all accounts did well in League Two with Barrow, be interesting how he does with the step up. Despite how much Scottish football fans bristle at the suggestion, the majority of League One is probably on a par with the majority of the Scottish Premiership.
Okay, Derek Adams.

I get a free ticket to the Ipswich game apparently, for paying for a season ticket during COVID. Good work the club. I would have boycotted that English pish had I had to pay, of course.Ā

He was a Glass/Robson era signing wasn't he? Seem to remember him being brought in as a replacement for Ryan Hedges and the result being assists for Ramirez completely drying up and Ramirez being accused of downing tools because his close friend Glass (who he hadn't met until 6 months prior) got sacked.
I could look on the internet, but I refuse. I thought he was a January signing of McInnes' last season. Maybe on a pre-contract, or was he injured or something and didn't actually play under McInnes? I thought Hedges left under McInnes too, so I'm probably just a year out on all of it.

Miovski isn't worth (to us) the money it would take to get him, let alone what he'd be looking for in wages. Even at a modest £10k per week you'd be looking at money that could and should be used to strengthen the entire squad rather than spent on one player. Fair enough if a no9 was the only missing link between us and winning the league but that's hardly the case.
I've said it before but finding the next Miovski is the job, not bringing the old one back. Sorry to be the boring realis
Agreed. Not just all that though, our model is based on selling players, and Miovski would hopefully have been a great advert of what we can produce. I think Girona could be making a mistake by getting rid of him, and hopefully another club of similar stature take a punt and get the best out of him. It's quite like the Ramsay situation for me. Both players were the pinnacle of their respective departments, and they've both gone on to fail (so far, plenty of time for both). We've obviously had Ferguson as a success, McKenna, Ramadani and so on, but it'd be worth a lot, in terms of reputation, to be churning out these success stories with regularity. A successful Miovski would allow us to demand the same or more for signings in future. I don't doubt that Miovski's high fee was influenced by the success of Ferguson and Ramadani for example.

Summer 2025 Transfer Window
in Aberdeen Football Club

He was better than Nisbet in the semi. Probably the best player on the park that day.Ā
I think he's looking for a payday somewhere. I'm guessing that the Huns are in a similar situation to us, and might try and pick him up for a relatively average wage for them.Ā
