  1. Just watched the highlights and have to say that was some run by Wright and pass to hedges which lead to our third. Also a great ball from Watkins to Fergus for our opener.

Thought out tactics were pretty spot on today, but I do think McRorie is wasted at right wing back and thought we looked better after Mcgeoch went off.

Taylor did as is expect but has to be said they were two great finishes by Celtic for those goals and they hurt us when the exploited that extra space as we were more open at that point. Moving McRorie to the back is the only way to solve it, but he is better in midfield.

Sam was unlucky not to score and despite being critical of him, I am looking forward to seeing what he does in this line up.

Watching Celtic they are really poor at the back and wouldn't be surprised to see them make a move for Hoban, who despite giving away a pen is clearly our best defender and looks better than anything they currently have.

More of the same next week would do nicely with a win at the end please.

  2. Sad to hear this news. Aye we were shyte for most of his time, but the club wasn't very run well either and the start of the financial cuts, but there were still some great times to be had during his reign and he was always good for a quote.

I used to work in the Garthdee Sainsburys when he was our manager and I would often see him in with his Wife and he was always a gentleman.

    RIP Ebbe

  3. I think playing without fans is hurting the victims and whilst I don't think they are shyte the are certainly beatable, but equally capable of wiping out any team in Scotland when they are on their game.

Gash can defend and has done so for us on many occasions, but also capable letting himself and the team down, but who do we replace him with that isn't equally as problematic? I don't want to see McRorie in defence as that would weaken us in midfield.

All we can hope for is a good team performance with no horror shows from anyone and Celtic have an off day.

  4. I'd happily take a defeat in this one if it meant a result in the semi. Of course being greedy I want both wins, but a cup final against Hibs or Hearts would be a great chance to bring this 30 year wait to an end.

Celtic regardless of problems will be a hard game, but feel if we don't revert to the old tombola and play to our strengths and to hell with containment we have as good a chance as any.

2-1 us Considine and an dubious injury time pen from Big Sam to GIRFU

The word legend for me is for guys like Harper, Miller & McLeish

Sadly Al, for a lot of younger supporters, McGinn would be a legend, as the haven't seen anything better.

My youngest classes Kenny McLean as a legend, because he went from us to the EPL with Norwich.

  6. Another good three points, but I thought we should have went for it more in the second half rather than game management.

Shame we lost Hayes, as his energy alone is a huge miss nevermind his workrate.

I really hope we don't adopt the second half tactics against Celtic as we are a better team than that now.

  7. If he is a good player and can improve what we have then get him in and worry about the surplus players later, no harm in having a look

I am sure a few players will be off at some point when they can, but the competition should be improving the performances of them all.

I do worry about where our own kids are going to get a chance with such a big squad especially Campbell, who is badly needing games and do we actually have any kids on our books who are worthy of some game time?

  8. I too believe we are on the verge of giving a team a real hammering so why not Accies, would have been great to beat Dundees second team on Saturday, but it was only that bit of fortune that was missing from doing so.

Also like to see us keep the faith with the current side, although I would prefer Kennedy back to give us that balance on the right.  Have a horrible feeling that if Sam is fit he will be straight back in and we may revert to type which would be a real shame, as we have been playing well, but he might surprise me and play well as the one up front in the current set up.

I watched the Accies v St Johnstone highlights on Saturday and it was a great game to watch entertainment wise, but the Accies were rank defensively, decent enough attacking though and on paper we should be more than capable of beating them, but it never usually works out quite like that.

I'll go 3-2 us - Wright, Hayes and Considine.

  9. Hate to say it and don't normally watch these games, but the zombies were good value for their three points today. Something doesn't appear right at Septic with Lennon being found tactically wanting today all over the park.

Enjoyed watching the Hamilton v St Johnstone game more though and thought the saints looked decent with May looking good.

  10. A shit result maybe, but we hammered them. We will play worse and get three points, but today was just one of them days, we outplayed them and maybe do lack that striker, but we are looking good and the more we play that way we will become better.

Shankland knew he gave away the pen with the handball, but I will be generous and say the ref didn't have a good view.

I think we should put Edmondson back to Leeds. He's not showed anything to suggest he could get in this team.

I thought we played well enough but the final ball was poor. Hayes in particular was guilty of hitting the first man with his cross time and time again.

The final ball was poor. However, United did have 10 behind the ball at all times, making it hard for us to create any space. They are one of the worst teams I've ever seen in the SPFL.

United played McInnes at his own game today, making us work hard to break them down and hoping to sneak a winner. They will be delighted with that point today with the deluded cunts now thinking they will be in the Champions League next year.

I always knew it would be a tight game today and it proved to be the case, but would have been nice to have turned our overall dominence into three points and shut their fans up.

  12. Just win it. The team I hate the most and really hate losing too..

I don't care if we are shit and Scott Wright misses a barrowload of chances, just please don't give them the bragging rights against us.

Been a while since we have played them and don't want to end up dropping any points against them.

Out if curiosity, why would you think he couldn’t? I get that it’s challenging for a small full back to be moved more centrally, but he’s a big and pacy strapping boy, I’d like to think he’d be capable. Can’t be any worse than Ash!

I have no idea how he would get on moving into a back three. I never said he couldn't.

Seems like he has been spotted in Aberdeen (there is a photo knocking about). But never sure when these things are taken.

On the EE website that we are trying to put a deal together for Leigh.

Would be a good signing, as a good athletic player who we know can do a job down the left side. I'm not sure if he can play in a back three though.

Stoke manager is hoping to get rid of Liam Lindsay before the deadline, would seem a good fit on paper although I don't remember actually ever seeing him play before.

I remember him playing for Thistle and was possibly one of the reasons they got the top six finish a few years back, then they went to shit after he moved to Barnsley.

I've no idea how his progress went in England, but he moved to Stoke for £2 million, which doesn't really tell us much, but if available I could imagine DM sniffing around.

  16. Winning is the best habit you can have in football and another three points on board is what it is all about.

We have played better and lost games before and we will do so again, so gladly take that hard won three points.

I hate international fitba, spoils the flow of our season.

  17. In defence of Ferguson, he is still a young lad who has played in a fairly shite midfield since his arrival. He now has McRorie, who I actually rate higher than Ferguson, alongside him and will be interesting to see how their pairing in the middle blossoms over the coming months, even more so with our apparent change in style of play.

I also think Fergie played much worse at the start of last season, but if I remember correctly he got a sending off which forced him to miss a couple of games and he seem to benefit from the break and was far better when he returned to the team.

So no one got any opinion on any of them other than Main ?

I would ditch Taylor and Devlin. Bar an initial promising start from Devlin it has not really happened for him here, despite him winning Scotland caps, so best for both parties to agree to a parting of the ways.

Whilst I don't think Ash is the worse defender we have ever had, far from it, I felt it was a mistake him coming back and his performances have not convinced me to change my mind, signing players Like McRorie and Hoban show the quality we need and I don't think Ash improves us quality wise.

I would like to see Virtanen get a game for us, just think there is a decent player in him, though I doubt we will see it.

Anderson I think he is a great finisher and would probably benefit from playing in our current team, but under DM we play one up front and that is not his style, so I feel he would benefit from a move away and honestly wouldn't be surprised if he did a Shankland.

Mclennan I am not convinced about, but I do think he is better through the middle than as a winger, where we usually see him, but like Anderson and Virtanen I just don't see it happening form him with us.

Happy to offer Wright a deal too, he would be the priority for me and would keep McGinn and Logan, although it would be on reduced terms with them knowing they will not be first choices.
