A poor player and a failed coach. He's a fucking woeful pundit/reporter aside from his obvious bitter rants re us.
-
Happy with Considine at centre half. Although he hasn't been woeful at left back I'm far more comfortable with him in the middle of defence. CH is his best position, no question
-
Good signing, by the time next season comes around we'll actually have a very decent looking defence!
-
I reckon it'd be big opportunity missed if we don't sign him up beyond the summer. He's shown enough imo to merit a contract, I think I mentioned on the AFCv Killie thread how highly I regard him.
McGinn aside I think he's our best player.
-
Bad news, McCoist was incredibly incompetent and the zombies were certainly going to struggle to gain promotion under his guidance. Will McDowall be equally as incompetent? Lets hope so!!!
-
I thought we played quite well, on another day we'd have scored another 3.
Jack and Hayes were tremendous and the defence looked quite assured again.
I really hope we can sign up Goodwillie on a longer contract, superb footballer. His movement, awareness, and first touch are fantastic.

Anyone else think Considine actually looked like a LB today?
It was certainly a massive improvement on recent showings, we still need a proper LB though.
That's the best I've seen us play this season, very impressive performance, Jack in particular was immense. Long may it continue

I'm staying to think goodwillie isn't going to work out. He's clearly talented but he struggles to fit into the system and I would rather see LS getting a chance. Pawlett has flattered to deceive a lot this season also, I think he is better suited to playing on the wing but given mcginn is the best crosser in our side it's understandable why he is out wide. That said we are missing his goals. I was very surprised we only made one sub on Saturday and how late on it came. I really like Smith though and in all honesty I think pawlett should make way for him for a few games, Smith is much better suited to the behind the striker role than DG or PP
I see what you're saying but I'm totally against Pawlett being played out wide, he's wasted there imo. He's much more influential through the middle and causes teams no end of trouble (on his day) when played there.

I noticed Killie lying down to the filth today
Kilmarnock were awful, really bad. After a bright start they seem to be sturggling badly at the minute, fuck them.
-
We had more than enough opportunities to put that game to bed. We're not utilising Goodwillie properly which is bloody frustrating becuase he's a quality player, he isn't suited to playing up top on his own. Also, we need to give him the ball to feet instead of punting it to him at chest or head height. On top of all that I lost count the amount of times he had to drop really deep to get the ball, that in itself isn't necessarily a bad thing but there's nobody from the midfield prepared to push on.
-
So why not put it up? Scared it may create some discussion on here..?
Aye, cracking player. I started going to matches regularly when he was first getting into the team regularly. Two footed, could tackle, pass, get goals, covered the pitch well...absolutely everything required to be a top class midfielder and he brought the best out in Jim Bett too.
Agreed, had plenty still to offer when he was (wrongly) punted.

1. Willie Miller
2. Jim Leighton
3. Alex McLeish
4. Brian Grant
5. Stewart McKimmie
6. Paul Mason
7. Charlie Nicholas
8. Theo Snelders
9. Duncan Shearer
10. Russell Anderson
We must be of similar age BB. I knew you'd have him in your line up!
-
I thought he intimated a few months back he fancied moving down south?
-
Willie Miller, Alex McLeish, Theo Snelders, Jim Leighton, Eoin Jess, Hans Gillhaus, Stewart McKimmie, Paul Mason, Brian Grant, David Robertson (controversial!!)
-
He's past it unfortunately. Looked completely off the pace when I saw him last.
I'd also like to add, I retract my statement about Reynolds. Sadly I think he seems to have lost a bit of form at the moment. Doesn't mean I rate those in front of him higher either mind.
Shame, how old is he now?
-
There must be a better full back than Paterson available?? McNaughton?
Paterson undoubtedly has potential but I don't hink he's ready for international football.
-
Game should have been dead and buried before they scored their first. We had more than enough chances to put that game to bed but inexplicably bottled it.
It was 3 points dropped to a very average team.
-
Also surprised Arfield hasn't been given a call up.

We should have been an awful lot more comfortable than 1-0 last night. We had more than enough opportunities to put the game to bed. Defence looked solid, Flood was tremendous, Jack steady as ever and Hayes was tore the County defence a new one.
Decent performance, bring on victim fc.

Lewis MacLeod. ...WTF
Same old story
Indeed. Ryan Jack and Ryan Gauld (there are more) are far superior players to McLeod.
-
about time that hun was found out, his team, tactics and the results speak for themselves.
Derek Adams front runner for the job..
Other than the season so far I'd say he's done a very good job. Probably going against the grain here but I admire McCall, comes across as a honest, modest guy.
-
I'd happily take on any of the other teams left in the draw. Celtic are a very average side, on our day we're more than capable of beating them. The zombies are utter mince, they really are shocking. United are ain't up to much, they were lucky to to get past Hibs.
Bring it on
-
Happy we won but by fuck that was dire. Long overdue but McInnes made the correct decision in dropping Langfield. Flood played well, as did McGinn.
I thought after the goal we'd go on to win very comfortably, Motherwell are a team bereft of confidence.
As they say though a win's a win. Upwards and onwards.

Had we put 50% of our chances away we win that match no problem, Brown's fuck up should have been irrelevant to the final outcome.
