Tuesdays aren't great for me tbh
I can see the Celtic game remaining on a Tuesday due to ESPN but I think the other two will be moved to the Wednesday.

We now have 5 home league games in February and there is a chance of a 6th home tie depending on the Scottish Cup.

Could it be that times were so bad when Miller was in charge you just didn't want to go full stop? Both were rank rotten though.
Back then I hardly went to games. The last game I went to before Alex Miller became manager was a 1-1 draw with Dundee Utd in March of 1997. I think I didn't go to another game until February 1999 when we beat Killie.
My parents rarely took to games when I was a kid, in fact I think they've only ever taken me twice. Before I got my season ticket in 2000/01 I relied on tickets from my primary school or my one of my dads friends from work who used to get complimentary tickets for games.

Morning paper revealing the Orient defender could be heading north. Was supposed to be going to M'Well on a short term deal, but Broon has presuaded to him come even further north.
Can't find anything about this guy from a quick Google search. What position does he play? I've got my fingers crossed that he is a left back.

Went for McGhee. The pain of his 18 months in charge is obviously still raw.
I know all about the Alex Miller era but looking back at AFC Heritage website I don't believe I ever attended a game while he was in charge whereas I attended so many games under McGhee that left me so angry or disappointed.

"I would love to get a third win for the Aberdeen fans.
"I'd like to thank the Aberdeen fans because I thought that the response from the 1,300 that we had at Hamilton was absolutely fantastic. They encouraged the team and they were actually sucking that ball down into the bottom end goal and I was so pleased that the goal was scored at that end because the fans were all there and they saw it at close quarters and they too celebrated and I have got to admit that Archie and I had a wee celebration on the bench as well.
"I cannot believe the support. I have seen the support when we have played against them while at Motherwell but I cannot believe that here we are in the afternoon and there is an official 1,300 down here. I mean, I've seen Hearts here and Hibs here, when we have been watching games here, and they don't fill that stand the way the Aberdeen fans do. If you win a game and please them then you feel very happy for the support because it is exceptional. They have lost 7 games in a row and we go to Easter Road and it is packed with Aberdeen fans and it is packed here at New Douglas Park with Aberdeen fans."

It seems almost every interview Brown does he tries to put the focus on the importance of the fans and is full of praise

A few days ago I was looking at these two fixtures - Hibs and Hamilton as games which could leave us cut a drift at the football of the table. I was very pessimistic about our chances of picking up more than a point or two. However these two wins have lifted my spirits so much.
The football might be crap but it sounds like we've finally got ourselves organised for the first time in weeks. I'd happily grind out 1-0 after 1-0 win until we were mathematically safe from relegation.

2-0 Badpenis again.
At least if it stays like this Hibs will be staying below us. We can always just beat the Jutes on Saturday

I really hope we get a nice big crowd on the 1st to welcome Brown and Knox.
However the most important thing is will the Pittodrie bar be open for a few pre-match pints so I don't have to sober up?

Another AFC Chat refugee here. I used to post on Donstalk a few years ago and there are a few names on here I recognise from back then still here.
I'm 25 and work in the BoD for an IT company. First Dons game was a 3-1 win over Hearts on the opening day of the 1994/95 season. I attended a couple a games a season (normally when our school got free tickets) until 2000/01 when I got a season ticket and have been a season ticket holder ever since. I would be lying if I didn't say there had been a few summers where I thought "What is the point?" but in the end I guess I'm a sucker for punishment.
