  1. Meant to be Kick-Ass but never made it will have to go over the weekend

I'm off to watch that the now, only heard good things about it, will report back

Also, when you said Sopranos all day on Sunday, the TV series do you mean?

  2. likewise. Was supposed to be going to Perth for the game but then realised it's a 12pm k.o. Getting my cable box fixed in the morning meaning i can't go to the game. Which is a bonus.  ;)

Going to watch my mate playing for Elgin at Hampden against Queens Park, but now thanks to you, I shall now be heading to the boozer with him at 12 for our game before he has to go and warm up etc!

  3. The Hans Brinker hostel isn't bad either! They put the Smeltic-Aberdeen cup replay game on for me especially even though the club (below the hostle) wasn't opening for a few hours. Also have a bar upstairs which is fairly cheap and a great place to start a night out.  That aside though, you'll have a great time! In Amsterdam, check out the club Dansen bij Jansen for student fanny  Somehow managed to get talked into dancing on the bar for free Sambuca by a hot barmaid. It was fun though ;)

I stayed there in March when I was over for the Scotland game.  Was a decent place, the club was quality, we were in there one night till about 6am drinking vodkas and red bull and said to bar man, when do you close and he just goes, whenever you decide to leave or run out of money

Also, a decent 'coffee shop' directly across the road and a wee Dutch version of a greasy spoon 2 mins up the road which did a cracking breakfast.

  4. 2004 being 6 years after 1998. 2009 being 5 years after 2004. So next year do you form a new opinion?

Not doubting the line up isn't as good as it has been in the past (seems to have gone downhill every year since I started going) but surely the quality of the weekend is defined by what you make of it and not by worrying about how many neds there are or which shite bands you decided to complain about while actually having no interest in or actually going to see?

I agree, the weekend is what you make of it.  I go regardless of the line-up because I know I'll have a brilliant weekend with a load of mates who are only all together a few weekends of the year, with T being the main one.

In terms of the music, out of 120 bands over the whole weekend, there will be a few I'll want to see each day, as I'm not a 'music snob' like Fat Jim ;)  However, watching bands at T isn't really a 'gig' experience anyway, I go to plenty gigs throughout the year to see the band properly and appreciate 'the music man'.  At the end of the day, I know I'll have a great weekend and haven't had any hassle from all these big scary neds so far, so don't see why this year will be any different.

    P.S. I'm not a ned Jay ya cock! :o;D

  5. Nope. And you know why? Because T in the Park is full of fucking neds, that's why. K?

And?  What's the big deal even if it was, do they scare people so much?  In my 7 previous years, neither me or any of my mates have had absolutely no bother from any of these so called rampaging neds, raping and pillaging the whole site.  These comments mainly seem to come from folk who've never even been...

  6. One of the problems with T in the Park (apart from the high ned quotient) is that they keep on increasing the capacity without making the site any bigger.

Neds, neds, neds, blah blah blah! :hammer:  Wonder if there will ever be a thread anywhere on any messageboard about T, without someone mentioning 'neds'.

I think the site is at it's limit of how big they can make it.  Just the wank Geoff Ellis taking the money without considering the punters.

  7. How does Rockness compare to T in terms of the site/capacity etc.  One thing about T is it's probably just too big.  The arena and campsite are massive, but still absolutely mobbed all over.  Takes us about 25-30 mins to get from where we camp into the arena and even longer coming back because of the queues, which is a bit shit when you're blazing and cannae be arsed with it.

  8.

I ain't going to T, can't be arsed with it these days at all.

Nah?  Sorry, I just assumed you were as I'd noticed you'd been posting.  Enjoy Rockness aye?

  9. Never knew Kowalski was a forum slut - I thought he had a real life when he wasn't posting here!  :-*

Oh yes, he's a man of many posts over there!

  10. Not long till T, can't wait (and save the slaggings, as they've been done to death and are just boring).

So who's going?  Kowalski, I know you are, as I see you posting regularly over on efestivals

  11. I saw that for the first time when it was on this week, and I thought it was great.

"He did that looking at me!"  ;D

I just started watching this recently too, bought the 2 series box-set after seeing the first episode on e4, absolutely brilliant!

    BUS WANKERS!!!

  12. I'm on cans of bud and maybe a few voddies.  This is shit being in on a Saturday night, first Sat night in I can remember in a long time.  However, the good ship GUASC sets sail for Pittodrie at 9am sharp the morns morn, so needs must! ;D

  13. Nature's Great Events - another cracking natural history series from the Beeb.

    It is indeed quality.

The Shield season 7 starting on Five US at 10pm tonight, nae much point watching if you've not seen series 1-6, but those who have, will I'm sure agree it's one of the best series on TV
