  1. According to a couple of Thistle fans and the Manager of our sister club Dunfermline, he's the reason Thistle challenged for much of last season and a player who works his socks off in every game.

At his age and wages, it's likely he'd be a good squad addition to our midfield. I say give the boy a go

  2. Just cancelled mine and had to email them with a reference number they provide via their call centre. Pretty simple really, don't know what the fuss and problem is for everyone else, but would suggest everybody cancels until we know what's going on.  :

  3. I've already posted that the upside of bringing Jengus in is that he can bring some of Murdiewell's best talents with him Smith (bit of a cock, but a challenge for Clangers), Quinn, Hughes and if we're to belive the tranfer budget is about 1.5 mill, Clarkson. His CV though is the downside and makes for poor reading. He'll also head for the Tattie Bowl at the drop of a hat, should he be appointed and do well.

Black on the other hand made a good fist of it at said Murdiewell before they called in the administrators and he headed off to Coventry or somewhere equally anonymous where he's obviously done well and will have benefitted from seeking out new talent for the Premiership.  :wave:Even if he's not found anyone good enough for a league that's the best on the world right now, he's surely seen players like Aluko who would be great for the SPL.

Let's all agree to get behind the Manager this time around (unless it's the moaning fucker from Killie!). Whether the replacement for JC will fare better remains to be seen.

  4. Problem with McGhee is that at every club he's been at the first season's been fantastic and then nada. Upside of him coming would be that he's in a position to persuade some of the good youngsters at Motherwell (Clarkson, Hughes and Quinn for example), to see the error of their ways and join whatever club he's appointed to. Black on the other hand has a lot of experience in coaching and scouting for clubs in the Premiership and might be well enough connected to bring a bit of talent that wasn't quite up to the standard of that particular league to the SPL.

Both would be better than Jeffries. The very thought has me reaching for the sick bag!

  5. Crap idea.

With only about 10 games to go, let's get behind the team and the Manager.

I know we've put up with a lot of sub-standard football this year, but positivity breeds confidence in the players. This doesn't stack up for me at all.

If at the end of the season we're not in the Europa Cup, then by all means demonstrate, but FFS, let's get behind the team until then.

  6. After tonight here's what we should go with on Saturday. I can't believe everyone else rates Vidal - he's a liability

                        Langfield

        Foster Diamond Considine Mulgrew

                        Severin

                  Aluko  Kerr Smith

                    Wright Mackie

No doubt Jimmy will have the Tombola out and play Duff and Mair somewhere though

  7. Just battled home through the snow after watching the Dons being passed off the park by a team that got beat 7-0 on Saturday and believe me, it could have been worse.

The boy Vidal was out of his depth. Yes seriously. I've never seen a worse defensive display in many moons, especially in the first half. He was quite simply a clown out there tonight  :hammer:

Another bleat (sic) was when Wright scored. Mulgrew celebrated like we'd won somethikng rather than rescuiong a point against a team that leaks like a cauldron. What's that all about  ???

Big and only plus was the performance of Wright who, when given his chance looks like he actually cares. When he came on he chased everything and looked like he could do a real job for us. Rock on Tommy.

  8. While it's dissapointing he's 'thinking' of leaving, will he actually go this time?

Last time during his protracted negotiations we heard the same old 'admired by United and Jambos' rumours, but as ever with the press nothing materialised. If he does go, then thanks for some great service and goals, but lets be honest both of these are a step down from where he is currently.

Hearts are skint and Levein will leave United for a 'bigger' job during next season (he's already confirmed that), so where else in the SPL. Nowhere, so perhaps seeing what Barry Nic, Michael Hart and even Chris Clark are earning down South is what's appealing.

As for replacements and captain. Kerr with Diamond as his second in command would be the best thing for the big man in the short term. Zander is a top player for sure, but anyone who doesn't believe that after the 4-2 game against Celtic he's not close to the top of wee Gordons shopping list for summer is dreaming. So it's MK for me. ::)

  9. Seems a decent sort, tactically astute, aye, why not? But I'm happy with the present encumbent.

Good Lord, I'm agreeing woth Funster even more  ;D.

Let's get behind the current managerial team (with the possible exclusion of  the superflous 'Sandy C' instead of being so short sighted as to what JC and JN have achieve with fuck all money from Wiggy.

Not if, but when he eventually goes, certain elements of the RDS and non-attemding taxi driving tossers such as the one who took us to the Hearts game need to take a long hard look at the state of our club. Rant over.
