Lets see some facts then. Sorry i forgot they dont count for shit on here. Aberdeen had the youngest squad - utter fucking drivel Pick any game from last season and i'll bet the opposing team had a younger team than us. Infact i'll do it myself. Lets go for...........Hamilton at home when they beat us.
-
Dont see how. We paid thousands in wages for Seve, Mair, Smith, Vidal and Hodgkiss probably Bossu you too. Who made the club no money and had no sell on value. With youngstars (who actually have talent and potential) coming through not only does it give us a better product on the park it also gives us a better product to sell, If we are going to survive we have to start getting a return for players, Jimmys biggest problem was he never took a gamble and gave youth a chance, he signed Journeymen who were useless and the team and were never going to make the club any money. We have a manager in now who is willing to work with the youth, when Calderwood couldnt be even bothered to watch them play.
-
Just telling us what we already know, previous manager run us into the ground and Mcghee has a massive clean up job to do, we have a good batch of youngstars who will make the club some money and we will be a stronger team with them in the coming years. Youth is the future of our club.

I love aberdeen, but i love money more your man jimmy was that predictable and sure fire to get us beat it was easy money to make

Willie Miller on Closure of Transfer Window
stoney replied to Kowalski's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
He came on at half time dude he also said that the season before about Maguire and Sammy stewart and Maguire was only ever really used as a sub or if someone was injured. when he did play he was used in midfield - which was a waste of time That people hated Calderwood for being a hun, that is your opinion. Yes that is correct when he started pricking about with the team, formation and we got bored of hearing the same excuses week after week. Im willing to bet that we never see such negativity from Mcghee. In the press or the way he picks the team, he is also willing to accept his share of the blame when things go wrong, another reason why calderwood was so widely disliked! Didnt realize sky broadcasted games at 3pm on a saturday, if you had trotted out funsters "surprised you could see that from Inverurie" then maybe you would have had something -

Nope 18 mins against sigma, 2nd half against celtic and 44 against motherwell Because we are aberdeen fans we dont want to hear shite about how unlucky big kyle was or how wee barry changed the game, and you also have no evidance to back this up. To suggest calderwood was hated for being a hun was shite, he was warmly accepted by our fans for the first couple of seasons. He was hated for a clown. -

That is also a weak excuse to suggest people disliked calderwood for being a hun is pathetic, there were too many reasons to hate calderwood - that was just one of them. I didint hate calderwood i just thought he was a shite manager. Well duff, young and maguire were all left on the bench in favour of Fyvie at hamilton so yes i do believe if Mcghee thought he was good enough he would have played. Incidently during Calderwoods time at Aberdeen Paton played a combined total of 81 mins of first team football, already under Mcghee he was played 108 mins :lolabove:, so to say calderwood was pitching him for first team football this season is total shite. Lets not let facts get in the way of things though -

More embarassing than big kyle big lee or wee barry. Or how SCHLOPPY we were? Its fairly easy to gamble when you are getting hosed away from home, why didnt he go with paton in some of the home games? because he was scared too, only time we would have seen these guys play is when the game was already decided. -

Calderwood said a lot of things................ Most of it was shite. He was too scared to gamble with them. I dont think either of them would have played more than 5 games each from the start, and you wouldnt have seen crawford or fyvie in the first team, thats for sure. -

Foster hasnt done anything wrong under Mcghee and Mackie has also been on his best behaviour. If someone hasnt been playing well they have been dropped / subbed. -

I agree - thats all i wanted from Calderwood, Lets see if our youngstars are any good rather than watch pish like mair. Already looking like a positive start from Mcghee which will no doubt motivate the guys in the under 19's they might sit up and see Fyvie getting a shout and think to themselves, maybe if i work hard i might get a chance too. Im genuinly excited about this season - looks like we are going to play our best team and not stick with the favorites when we know they arnt up to scratch. -
Thats cause your thick This much was obvious. You have been listening to Calderwood too long, crucial games are only those that actually mean somthing, i.e. oh my god we havnt won a game in the last 8 and we are now in desperate need of a win at home to relagation fodder to save my arse and my season. Would that not be my punctuation? I am not a hypocrite, never once while Calderwood was in charge did i want my team to lose.
-
I get the feeling that some of you WANT us to lose so you can fire back on here saying "Told you so" Certainly the impression im getting anyway.
-
Is she any good?
-
I would bet all the jiggers on here would already be sharpening the knives if that were the case. I fully believe after sitting next to some retards on saturday that people would rather see aberdeen fail just to prove Calderwood was a better manager. Fucking sad acts!

I heard that sol bamba has signed................Watch this space

Nae a great match but things are looking a lot more positive, actually looking forward to the next game.
-
I dont think he is the man for the Job but he will get my support to turn things around.
-
What is it they say about leaopards never changing their spots? You lot are so pro-jimmy its scary, new manager in lets try to look at the positives, Jimmys not coming back so how about we get behind the manager that is here and does want the best for the club and the fans.

True only mugs would get into debt through gambling Sensible people stop before it becomes a problem
-
Only mugs dont take a good bet when they see one
-
I remember sitting there at a celtic a couple of years ago at pittodrie when i had 500 on celtic to win +2 goals and the bet was up at half time, dont think that this result was worse than some of the ones we had to endure under calderwood and at least Mcghee had the stones to see it wasnt working and made the changes to suit. If Mcdonald had take his chance at 3-1 then it put a differant spin on the game.
-
Could say that Or if you understood the game could say he was covering the left winger who was totally left by our left back. Which was consistant over the course of last season.
-
Shouldnt have been allowed to create the mess he has done for so long, was plain to see last season what was going to happen this year but it was allowed to drag on until the summer, should have been addressed after the Dunfermline game and get a new manager in then.
