Aye but im not talking about automatic first team players im talking about filling the space which a promosing youth/reserve player should move into if we had a good youth system.

I would rather we did what Hibs and Falkirk have done, both clubs have looked for young players who havent made the grade in the prem or reserves and have been let go by the clubs so they can sign him. This way if the lad turns out to be a success then you can make some cash ( an alien concept to aberdeen) when he goes back to england.

There are players there to be found and with europe (hopefully) we have a good chance of attracting a player against the lure of big money in the championship.

Understand where youre coming from

where as diamond was a 5/10 and mackie was 2/10

A few thoughts

Motherwell were shite and there for the taking, they only played for 20 minutes when we went to 4 5 1 on another day we would have got the second and hammered them. Even at the end when they pressed us back we looked dangerous.

Mackie was a waste of a shirt.

Nicholson missed 2 sitters when we were 1 - 0 and 1-1 ( he moved into a more attacking role in the 451)
