  1. Anyway AbeerdeenBasedFuckwit, can you please answer my question. How do you think myself as a Dons supporter of over forty years, together with my missus [ note not sister ] and two sons would be treated at the Tattie Bowl if we knowingly went into the Tims end for an Aberdeen game ?

    He wont reply.

His brain exploded when he got to the bit about your missus not being your sister.

  2. True. Only got to look at Huns. A few years back they had 9 or 10 players in U17 squad and of them only Fleck (who was playing above his age level) has made it anywhere near the first team. Was just pointing out that we have had this sort of numbers before at this level and nothing has come of it.

That was prior to George Adams getting the boot wasn't it?

Obviously it should be easier for our young players to make the step up than it is for the Huns.

  3. Nauseating.  Had you been in the away end (which is where you should have been), you'd have been subjected to hearing about "Sheep shagging bastards" and such like. I presume that would have been acceptable, going by your post?

My first ever football match was the Dons at Parkhead, I was in the main stand and I was subjected to grown men shouting obscenities at me.  I was five years old.  Swings and roundabouts.

Main Stand, Parkhead, five years old?

Shouldn't you  consider yourself lucky that all they did was shout obscenities at you...

  4. Sheer lazyness mr sheep...and discussion over who was going and who wasnt...

we didnt realise the problem of buying tickets...and just planned getting them b4 the game and going into one of the local bars....

convienance is perhaps the word im looking for!

AFC usually make it quite clear on Redweb that they are not allowed to sell tickets so close to kick off.

If you wanted to be lazy, you could have ordered online or over the phone and collected prior to the game...

  5. Let me introduce myself - I have lived in Aberdeen for almost six years now, but have remained a staunch Celtic supporter, I may not go to see them as often as I did when I lived in the west of Scotland, but my passion to see them succeed hasn’t faltered in the years I’ve lived here.

First and foremost can I congratulate the Aberdeen team for their resilient display on Sunday – plus their ability to convert their chances when presented with them.

However my congratulations ends with the team and the management, not the Dons fans……..

On Sunday my wife and I decided to have a family day at the football, this was to be my kids first ever senior game (daughter 7, son 4) – I managed to get 4 tickets for the ‘Family’ section i.e. Merkland Road end, as despite me being a Tim I thought it would make more sense to take my family to the family section, thinking I didn’t want my kids exposed to Celtic supporters who had been bevying for 4 hours on the journey north.  That turned out to be the worst decision I’ve made in my football-attending career.

The racist, foul and offensive language used in the ‘Family’ section appalled me.  ‘Fuck off back to Ireland ya tattie munching cunts!’, ‘Cheating Fennian Bastards!’ were amongst the many pleasantries that I couldn’t believe I was hearing!!!!!  I’m not naive enough to think this doesn’t happen at football matches, but surely not in the ‘family’ section.

No matter how drunk the Celtic fans were, there would be no way my kids would have been subjected to such obscenities if we had been in the Celtic section – this is why Celtic fans are welcome anywhere in Europe and have won awards for their behaviour and sportsmanship, this is the calibre of supporter I’m used to – even in the dark days of the ’90s when we finished behind team like Aberdeen in the league we still sang ‘Always look on the Brightside of life!’.  Putting aside their disgusting vocabulary, I couldn’t believe how fickle the Aberdeen fans were – Jimmy Calderwood has guided them to 3rd in the league, yet when he made the Aluko substitution on Sunday with the game poised at 2-2 he was lambasted, it proved to be a tactical success!

To summarise, I’m used to a superior human standing next to me at matches and I was very disappointed with the calibre of human I experienced on Sunday.  As a result in the future I’ll take my boy a 300 mile round trip to Glasgow if he wants to see football rather than go to this alleged family section of my local team – my doing this wont really impact Stewart Milne’s pocket, but how many people out there have had a similar experience? and refuse to expose their family to such behaviours?

I wonder if Rangers fans are as appalling in the presence of families?

MOPE alert, MOPE alert, MOPE alert, MOPE alert, MOPE alert, MOPE alert

  6. Was Interested in Scott McDonalds celebration, seemed to be gesturing to someone. Was he getting major abuse from our fans? What caused him to get a huge chip on his shoulder cause he seems to be angry at everyone.

He gestured to the Tims in that way after the full-time whistle at Ibrox a few weeks ago.

  7. cant get a ticket cos its less than two hours before kick off?!!......whats that about, do they expect me to get out of bed on a sunday?! whats the thinking behind this rule? im on the database, surely there shuldnt be a problem?

    It's down to the Police.

Is there a reason you couldn't have bought the ticket before the day of the game?

  8. big fuckin whoops

    Pardon?

Just found it a bit ironic that an ex-Tim would end up getting banned for an incident with Tims. He is a good lad really.

Just seen your earlier point comparing the sentences with those dished out to the Celtic fans.

Any chance of appeals for them based on that?

Not sure what is new about the judge though, a quick google search shows cases involving him at Aberdeen Sheriff Court going back to at least 2003.

  9. Yeah i did call you that, more than once. but like ive already explained, when i asked you to watch where you were going after you near enough knocked me down the stairs all i got was a torrent of abuse, all i did was give as good as i got considering how abusive you were. all in all you were acting like a twat.  like i said no one said they wished you died, even trying to claim that was said is laughable, almost as laughable as your story about not meaning to spit on the guy.

I missed most of it and only got back just before the stewards were looking as if they might get interested. I am sure I heard someone threaten to kill him, and minijc respond by calling that person a paedo.

Paton did look pretty good when he came, on, hopefully it will mark the start of him pushing for a bigger role in the 1st team sqaud.

Yep, I said initially, I would have put him on after the 3rd goal, but didn't realise how early that was! Would certainly have let him get 20 minutes though.

Pity no-one else that was there shares your view of the events.

Everyone else must be wrong.  ::)

I didn't hear anyone say that they hoped he dies. I did hear someone threaten to kill him, which to be fair, if he had spat on me (and i'm not saying he did or didn't spit on anyone deliberately as I didn't see it), then I would probably have wanted to kill him too.
