  1. From Northsound:

AFC NEWS - Motherwell are digging their heels in over a compensation package for manager Mark McGhee. The Gothenburg great is in Aberdeen with his assistant Scott Leitch having agreed personal terms. However I understand the deal is being delayed due to a difference in what the Fir Park side want, and what the Dons are offering for the 52 year old. I can tell you Motherwell are demanding £260,000, however Dons chairman Stewart Milne is only offering £150,000. It's still hoped a deal can be thrashed out today (Thursday) with the new boss then being unveiled at a press conference.

We'll bring you all the latest news as we get it throughout the day.

  2. It appears to be a straight race between us and those two for third place.  I said to my Jambo mate yesterday that we're the team to beat because I can see Hearts losing a couple of players this month and as for United... it may be too early to say and it may just be over-optimism over yesterday's results, but I think they may start to tail off a bit.  I think their squad isn't good enough to sustain their good form over the course of a season.

So I reckon third place is ours to lose now. We've got a big game on Saturday and we've got both Hearts (looks as though we'll be without Kerr for that one due to suspension) and United in the next month.

How worried do you think United and Hearts will be after yesterday's result?

Having a look here, it seems Kerr might not have incurred a suspension yet:

Although a booking today would definitely rule him out of the Hearts game if he is not already.

  3. He is destroying some Austrian dude just now. won second set 6-0 and is 3-0 up in the 3rd to win it.

It's the same guy who he really struggled against in the US Open.

    Murray does it for Scotland...

  4. Supposedly to signify being "up to the knees in fenian blood".

How dare you besmirch the good name of those who "deserve better".

Rangers Football Club would never engage in any kind of institutional sectarianism, nor would they look to profit from it either.

That's a problem. There are probably hundreds if not more that would attend Pittodrie a lot more often if they didn't have their own team commitments to fulfill. It seems to me that it'd make sense to move all kids/amateur team football to Sundays. I certainly know a good few people who'd be at Pittodrie if they weren't playing football.

A lot of the problem with that is there simply aren't enough pitches to do that.

Although if you switched the youngest age groups to summer football, that would help a great deal.

That and having shrinks visit schools to reverse the effects of Sky brainwashing kids into 'supporting' foreign teams, as that is a huge cancer on Scottish football.

  6. This really is distressing – isn’t this the type of rhetoric that UEFA are investigating Rangers forums about…….and I thought my North East comrades were better than them, so guess I am deluded!

I’m so disappointed with my local brothers this week……..what sort of a community am I to bring my children up in????

You know what you can do if you don't like it.
