I can understand why so few. I wouldn't buy a season ticket either and no need to even buy one for AFC in SPL.  Even if the club reaches 2 finals tickets finals are easily sourced.  Ibrox ticket - easy, semi-final - easy, Europe - easy.  Just join a supporter club, no need for a season book.

 

The club has made no effort to improve the atmosphere at Pittodrie. Prices have gone up (shocking price entry and very bad value). The club has been giving away tickets for the Merkland for years tells you all you need to know.

Joining a supporters club doesn't guarantee you a ticket for Ibrox or the cup games.  As for Europa, for the more popular games the club usually do a ballot so it's pot luck.

The atmosphere at Pittodrie is, as you have said, dire to say the least.  North East folk like to go to the games and just watch football.  It isn't all down to the club.

There's a 50% chance Mrs Tyrant will be raging.  We don't know where we play first leg until the draw.  They pick a seeded ball and then an un-seeded ball and put them both in to another bowl.  A quick shuffle then they take one out and whichever team that is will play at home first.

Slowly making up my mind on T2.  Watched it 3 times since my original post and definitely growing in to it.  A few things bother me though:

There is way too much reminiscing to the original.  It was a classic and it was a long time ago but it's well over done.  Is it a new film or a sequel/anniversary/best of all rolled in to one?

I find the relentless nods to hibs a bit sickening (yes, we get it after the first one but come on huh?)

Which leads me to my main point.  With all the hibs stuff (flags and strips everywhere, graffiti on walls etc) I presumed that the scene after renton and sickboy have looted the lodge where they are having a coke fuelled table football binge and then end up sliding on their knees celebrating was filmed at Easter Road.

I read that it is actually filmed at Tynecastle which I thought would be a big no no, no matter what filming constraints were in place.

Now just watching the film again I can't make up my mind which stadium it is.  It looks like Easter Road to me but then, when the shot pans right out, the flood light pylons and overhead, white gantrys make me think it is Tynecastle.

Can anyone confirm?

Spose it depends which way you think the game will go.  I would like to give septic something to think about when they see our starting line up.  I also think Wright wont let the occasion get to him if he does start.

Even then if things aren't going our way we have McGinn to come on and do his thing.  I would rather it was that way round than taking McGinn off and relying on Wright to change the game.

I had a meatball pizza from dominoes..... about 4 hours ago and I'm still feeling like shit.

I've absolutely loved this time of year the last 3 seasons.  Already told work i'll have to take my holidays at short notice again! 

From a purely selfish point of view I would have preferred a round 1 start as it means an extra euro trip and to be honest I don't think playing the 1st round has done us any harm in previous campaigns but I ain't going to grudge a squad of our size a few extra weeks rest before getting back in to it.

Again, just being selfish I would like to draw one of the Estonian teams.  I am thinking about taking the camper there later in the year so would be good to get a recce trip in first.  Wouldn't complain if we drew the N.I team either though.  Would like to avoid Norway.

I have it on good authority ( from a fellow poster) that if you book your bike on the plane, but choose the option of paying for it at Dyce, then the stupid bastards generally forget to charge you.

Fit a yolk getting tickets tonight. I've been stuck in their virtual waiting room reading top gear Feb 2006 magazine for 40 minutes now 

Its a brilliant festival, different countries of the world, set up there food and beers and drink, dance and music. it starts at 2pm and finishes at 6am and runs for 4days, was going to head back doon tonight but it's absolutely pishing doon here so it will be a wash out! Which is a shame. Sunday is meant to clear up so hopefully get back doon then for the final day.

 

Its definitely skirt steak mondo, its called entraña here, when i used to ask for it at home no butcher kept it as only one cut comes from the beast and its cheap and never used or sold. my mam used to peel back the skin and fill it with meallie and sew it back together to make like beef olives!

 

But its a fantastic cut to throw on the bbq or grill!

Festival sounds fantastic, I always hear of stuff like that in other countries and always wonder why we can't do something similar here.  Imagine the paperwork you would need to fill out.  Health and safety, food prep hygiene certificate, music license.... till 6am??  :o One chance and that is no chance.  No wonder you flitted.
