Canna argue with that min. Absolutely the best Xmas song written.

Greg Lake from ELP, cancer. Was a big fan of ELP, only Carl Palmer left now. 2016 has been a bastard for celebs dying off.

Despite what some posters want, I don't believe DM is going anywhere. I think the compo alone is something the club would want to avoid. I think the most frustrating thing for most of us is the constant tinkering with the side. An obvious statement I know, but we need our strongest 11 on the park. All of us on here would make great armchair managers, but we all know what the issue is and it's extremely frustrating to see the result(s) of the tinkering.
I know it's a long season and I'm sure he believes that he needs to utilize the full squad (apart from Storey it seems) but nothing breeds more confidence than a settled side who are allowed to play to their own strengths.
What is this going to take? Do we need a few of the veteran players to have a word? Those of us on here who are old enough, remember the absolute arrogance of our great teams, our lack of fear and the belief that we would win any game.
I think it's time he let the shackles off and let the team play, I'm sure most people would take a 3-2 win over a 1-0 game management exercise in fan frustration.
Unfortunately I don't think he has the belief we can win in Glasgow himself but I would hope that senior players or others at the club would have a word. Until then we need a result tomorrow and at this point I'll take a 1-0 game management exercise.
Also, I don't really get the Tommy Wright love-in, I just don't get the hype.

2-0 Hertz now, nae long after der Hun had a goal disallowed. Shame.
-
Best result for us tonight at Tynecastle? A draw would probably suit us, or at worst a Hertz win. I think the last thing we need is Sevco going home with all 3 points, especially with us heading to Mordor on Saturday.

I hated billy fuckin stark
Nae exactly an unpopular opinion at the time min. Most fans around where we sat in the Soother hated him, apart fae me that is. Bought to replace Strachan, affa big shoes to fill but his scoring record from midfield was excellent, 41 goals in 109 appearances, a better percentage than his predecessor.
-
So with Man City getting a draw, nae mair European fitba this season for the Dhims.
-
I can't imagine that we won't start with our strongest possible team and that must include McGinn
He is an integral part of our line up and an established internationalist for a team that actually participated in the Euros
I cannot be arsed with the endless remarks about how he doesn't try against Celtic and the derogatory comments about his religion are so fucking boring
If I was Niall and I scored on Sunday I would be tempted to give you lot the finger
Absolutely spot on min.

Oooft, I'll say. Six goals in 30 minutes. Baith teams must have been playing the old 2-3-5 formation! Spurs papped oot as well, so much for the EPL.

Generally -25 or -30 deg. C here in winter so off to Hawaii (Honolulu) for a couple of weeks in January. Place we are staying just about 100 yards fae Waikiki. Sun, sand cold beer and the odd Mai Tai. Magic. Also off to Oz in March. Sydney, Cairns and Melbourne, canna wait for that, maybe meet up with some fellow Dandies for a beer.

Epic min...watching at work, need to change my boxers now.
-
Last season, when he was clearly the best left back in the country, I was livid for him. Now, since he's not playing there I can actually understand why that ginger midget hasn't picked him.
Agree with this, how can we expect him to be picked to play LB when he doesn't even play there for us. Don't normally agree with Strachan but he can't be faulted for this one.
-
Tough question but here we go:
1. King Joey
2. Willie Miller
3. Martin Buchan
4. Bobby Clark
5. Davie Robb
-
Overall nae a bad set of results for us. Could have been worse. Need to get stuck right in on Saturday.
-
So true and never gets any less disappointing. I hope the team can pick themselves up in time for this weekend.
100% agree with this. Seems like every Dons team I've watched over the years (and that's a lot of teams) has form for this type of result.

OK canna help masel now....
And the ultimate one for me....

How about this, loved it for the guitar solo:
Also this, took a bit of a slagging at the time for liking "artsy crap"

I read somewhere he was critical of the criticism of Strachan, surely he wouldnae even consider the job would he? Be a career killer wouldn't you think?
-
Toure looking like an absolute donkey as well and wonder boy at LB got a bit of a doing.
Didn't see the first goal but apparently Gordon didnae cover himself in glory either. I think defensively they are a shambles but unfortunately have too much for most teams in the League.
-
Been rumoured for a while now, would indeed be wise to get this done.

Didn't post a lot on Abmad but the whole advert thing is a right pain in the arse. Looking forward to posting here and GVB it's good to see your old avatar
Out of contract
in Aberdeen Football Club

Here's my tuppence worth:
Consi - Keep, he's a good utility defender, needs to play CH but is good coverage if we need it.
Taylor - Bin. Back 4 look nervous when he plays. Hopefully McKenna can replace after his loan.
Jack - Probably needs to go. Seems like he stalled on signing the last contract and not sure he can lift his game.
Pawlett - Go. Has great pace, but again, hasn't taken advantage when he does get a start.
McGinn - Keep. Probably the most skillful player on the team. I know he can be frustrating but he should have been rested after the Euros. I think it came back to bite us in the cup final and against Sevco. I think he's a great player.
