  1. That is the tactic that brought about the Bosman ruling.

If Rooney was unhappy and wanted to leave then even with several years on a contract he was going to go. Agents, and if necessary lawyers will find a way out of any contract

Now if someone can find evidence of Rooney being 'pushed out' against his wishes then I will jump on the bandwagon of club bashing.

This is hardly the Dodds/ Winters betrayal.

Stevie May to find form and 21 (YES TWENTY FUCKING ONE) year old Cosgrove to show what he can do when he is finally given a real chance.

Down South Rooney to start enjoing his football again

Aberdeen fans to continue in their quest to be the most negative in the country if not europe.

Some common sense being spoken here. Whilst it is disappointing that we may not have a new striker and defender signed in time for the Burnley games things need to be put in perspective. The transfer window opened if I recall at the beginning of this month  when most players contracts ended. It doesn't close for another 6 weeks.

Still time to get in the players that we need. I agree it would have been better to have a full squad before the competitive games began but that just doesn't seem to have been possible. I have no doubt that the management team won't have been sitting on their backsides over the last week or two.

  2. Should be fine wearing colours. Usually see away fans drinking in town before the games even the Plastics. Only exception these days is Tribute Act fans but that’s usually down to their scummy behaviour. Basically don’t act the cunt and you should have a great trip. Plenty good bars in Aberdeen.

You will find the drink prices a tad more than in Burnley though!

  3. DD. I was at the Liverpool game in 1980. We were gubbed but learned a lot from that. Ipswich the following year were complacent. They were indeed UEFA champions at the time and were a top class side that was not in doubt. They assumed that because of that pedigree that they would walk it against us. How wrong they were . Two words. Peter Weir.

  4. theres a chap called gogsred already on here, think he may be an Abmad refugee

Some people suggesting Jack to the Hun is a done deal, but the speculation may be benefitting his agent in still trying to secure a deal, not necessarily with Rangers, hence the non confirmation...

No Elgindon isn't me. I was on Abmad - still lurk there.

On this topic maybe Ryan Jack isn't going to the Huns. We shall no doubt find out next week.

  5. Seems pretty fair to me but sure plenty of folk will disagree :dunno:

I agree - seems a very fair way to deal with this. I don't have a season ticket as I can't go to all the home games but I am lucky enough to be in Phase 2. So hopefully will get a ticket no problem.

  6. I can't remember my very first game . One of the very first though would have been the game against Hibs in March 1967. The crowd that day was 44,000 which I think is the second highest attendance ever at Pittodrie.

It was a tad crushed to say the least.
