  1. As long as its nae a local manure trader that has the highest bidder then  ;D

I like Slims idea for The Stand Free

Why not give Chris Anderson and Richard Donald a stand each and leave the 4th one open to some sort of competition/vote ?

  2. He played wide left and was kinda quiet but I thought that was to be expected really considering he probably only joined up with the squad what 48 hours max beforehand.

Fairly quiet but when he did get the ball he didna lose possesion very often and if he did he was back hassling to try and win it back again.

The free kick he hit was really unlucky not go in, Given made a great save from it, had it gone in Mulgrew may well have been bumped next season from set pieces  ;D

  3. Personally I think it could be a great idea to give them the job.

More folk thru the turnstyles (at least to start with, then its upto the football of course)

Must have a lenghty worldwide contact list that makes JCs look like a car parking reciept

Should be able to use their own knowledge and understanding of the game to enhance our players

I say give it a shot

  4. I agree, I dont want McGhee to ge tthe job either as IMO he wont take us any further from where JC got us to, he has just as shit a record in cups against "weaker sides" and does not fill me with great delight at the thought of him coming in.

One of my mates is a Motherwell fan and he was saying that he would be glad to see the back of McGhee as he was fed up watching shite

    Sound familiar ?

  5. Sone Aluko and Jamie Langfield have both contacted the club this afternoon to stress their disappointment with the headline in the Evening Express that both players threatened to quit following Sunday's announcement that the football management team was leaving Pittodrie.

Whilst it was an emotional time for everyone at Pittodrie on Sunday night, in particular the playing staff, both Sone and Jamie wanted to let the fans know that they will not be leaving the club.

Sone told RedWeb "I have two years of my contract left. I am very happy at the club. I have much to thank Jimmy Calderwood for. He has done a lot for my career. But he has gone and that is football. We all need to move on. I am looking forward to working with whoever takes over the manager's job. I want the fans to know I am not going anywhere."

RedWeb also spoke to Jamie this afternoon. "As I said to RedTV when I picked up the player of the year award I am very happy at Pittodrie. It really meant a lot the fans voted for me and I really appreciate the support they have given me.

"Jimmy Calderwood did a great job for Aberdeen and we were all shocked at the news on Sunday. However we must draw a line under it and start looking ahead to the new season. A season that includes European Football."

  6. :lolabove:

Stavrum with Windass as his assistant could be a decent move by the club, although not highly experienced they both would bring the fight back into the club (although Mark Kerr seems to be trying to do that by all accounts ) and give the players a good kick up the arse

  7. Aberdeen Football Club has reacted angrily to some of this morning's newspaper reports alleging that striker Chris Maguire had been knocked unconscious in the incident on Tuesday evening that left midfielder Mark Kerr requiring hospital treatment.

A spokesman commented. "Chris was not involved in any altercation on Tuesday night and was most certainly not knocked unconscious. As we have already stated, some of the players were out on a social evening ahead of their day off on Wednesday and there was a minor incident in a city centre club. Subsequently, there was a more serious incident in the street which resulted in Mark receiving injuries which needed treatment in hospital. No other Aberdeen Football Club employee was in any way injured and it is extremely disappointing that some media outlets have chosen to ignore the facts."

Typical shitey journalism as usual then from certain papers
