blinlemon Posted March 7 Report Posted March 7 Maroons min! 3-2 away in Wick. A long journey home, with the Wick off-licence mannie rubbing his hands in anticipation. Quote
blinlemon Posted March 14 Report Posted March 14 The ire that overwhelmed me when standing in the pishing rain on Eglinton Street and seeing the Babies equalise was tempered a good deal when the final score came through from Kynoch Park: Keith 2, Nern neen. That’s the Maroons unbeaten for hunners, and, most pleasing for the anointed people of Central Banffshire, is the fact that the Maroons are ahead of Buckie in the table. Games in hand ana. Keith’s opening goal scored by Jack Searle, on loan from the Reds. For family reasons, I’m unable to attend live fitba for the next couple of months. Quote

How did those dirty bastards from Keich get that far ahead of the five in a row champions from the 90's Quote
blinlemon Posted March 21 Report Posted March 21 And so it continues… Turriff 1 Keith 2 Now 7th in the league, from being third bottom in October. Quote
blinlemon Posted March 26 Report Posted March 26 Ach, it had to end sometime. Keith 0 Grantown on Speyside Thistle 2. At least I’m getting a break from Weegieland today, sorting out a few things in the NE. Quote

Cat among pigeons in the closing stages today, as Brora lose 1-0 to Banks O Dee, and Brechin win 4-1 in Nairn. Zak To, on loan from Cormack Park, scored to put Keith ahead v Forres, 1-0 the final score, and the only een aboot which I give a fuck. Quote

blinlemon Posted Sunday at 08:03 Report Posted Sunday at 08:03 Two things: 1. The ‘Keech’ thing was already overdone in the Green School playground in 1965. 2. Huntly have been utter pish, with a poor return from significant investment, since they last won the title in 2005. The Maroons’ current chairman even got the fuck out of Crusty Park to take on the Kynoch Park rôle, and he’s doing a good job. You’re gonna have to up your game a notch or two if you want to swap Heelan League-related badinage. 1 Quote
blinlemon Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago Huntly 1 Keith 1. A fair result according to my correspondent. Ronan Craib scored first for the Maroons, and the equaliser came when the Huntly striker’s mighty swipe at the leathern sphere saw his airborne left wellie well-saved by Craig Reid as the ba trickled into the bottom corner. The Maroons’ Conor Bird was red-carded late on for persistent interference with the diesel injectors of the groundsman’s tractor. Quote
