mizer Posted November 15, 2012 Author Report Posted November 15, 2012 It seems the info above has yet to reach the Daily Record but here todays story from them  FRANK McDOUGALL has sent Niall McGinn a good luck message from Brazil as the Aberdeen striker aims to level his record run. The Dons legend is setting up a football academy in South America but has been keeping an eye on his old club and McGinnâs scoring exploits. McGinn can equal McDougallâs feat of netting in eight consecutive league games against Celtic this weekend and the former striker said: âIâve sent Niall a wee message, wishing him all the best. I hope he can carry on in the same fashion as he has been doing. âStriking is a confidence thing and once you start getting goals on a regular basis you believe you can find the net from any position â no matter the opposition or where you are on the pitch. âI fancy Aberdeenâs chances against Celtic. I donât think Celtic are concentrating 100 per cent on the SPL just now because of their involvement in the Champions League and the fact they know they will be champions come the end of the season. âIt is a long time since the Dons beat Celtic but, if they perform with confidence and belief, I reckon they are definitely in with a shout. âThey are on a high at the moment, theyâre buzzing and thatâs a massive thing when Celtic ride into town. The city of Aberdeen needs that right now and a strong football club.â McDougall is loving life in Brazil and spoke fondly of a recent chance meeting with the greatest player in the countryâs footballing history. He said: âThey call me Zico when I walk into my local and the other day I was walking about in the city centre and this bloke comes up to me. âHe says, âAre you Frank McDougall?â, I replied âAyeâ. âHe says, âThe Frank McDougall that won the Golden Boot and a treble with Aberdeen?â, I said âAye, who are you?â. âHe said âPeleâ and I replied, âAll right Edison Arantes do Nascimento, how you doing?â  Frunks on the booze in Brazil then or taking the piss out of the reporter!
