swaddon Posted Saturday at 17:10 Report Posted Saturday at 17:10 On Saturday 4th July, the Dons will take on Dutch outfit FC Twente Enschede in a wee kick-around at their pre-season training camp in the Netherlands. Most famously, they sold Theo Snelders to us in 1988 for £300,000, and he was quite handy between the sticks. One of their assistant coaches is one Jeffrey de Visscher, formerly of this parish. Scott Booth also had a spell with them. We have so much in common. Quote
Jormungandr Posted Saturday at 22:30 Report Posted Saturday at 22:30 Was chatting in another thread about this where someone thought it was in Amsterdam area, but just checked and it is near Enschede. Quote
Jute Posted Sunday at 09:13 Report Posted Sunday at 09:13 Game is at Sportcomplex GFC, Goor. Tickets nearly sold out according to club ticketing site. Quote
GASC1980 Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago Booked flights to Amsterdam at the start of May when I first heard about this. Was told it was going to be somewhere near Amsterdam but it's 2 and a half hours away and much closer to Enschede. Hey ho. Quote

Train from Amsterdam takes 2 to 2 and a half hours depending which one you get. Couple of changes as well which always goes well with a few beers. Quote
