RicoS321 Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago Really need a point from our final two games. The win was good last night, but a less than average performance. Always difficult against an unfamiliar team from a part of the world you don't play often. Morocco are a bit more European than Haiti so we might be better. They looked very good in the opening period against Brazil, so we'll have to keep it tight for most of the first half. I don't think we can afford to have Ferguson and McTominay as a two in midfield for this one, as McTominay (and McGinn) gives the ball away too much. I'd go for a 4-1-4-1, with Ferguson in behind McTominay and McGinn. Christie and Doak wide. We'll have to hope Hickey turns up for this one, as he struggled defensively last night, and Patterson is generally gash. A back three might be an option too, but the two were fairly solid last night so would probably stick with them. Maybe switch them round, as Hanley won't be required to use his feet. Quote
swaddon Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago I think the squad will have a bit less pressure on them going into this game, and I fancy a draw. Quote
OrlandoDon Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago Haiti was the unknown where we were also expected to take the game to them, something we’re not good at with our limited players and limited creativity’s. we’re much more suited to play Brazil and Morocco, like playing Denmark and Spain. Despite the countries, most play in Europe so it’s a more familiar game. as said, I dont expect two up top for thrse and expect to see Christie come in for shankland or Adams. As also mentioned, I thought shankland put in a ton of work yesterday and I’d be inclined to go with him as the lone forward, as he’s our best goal scorer more likely to put away limited chances. One of my buddies at work is Brazilian, and he’s complaining non stop about their national team. Good individual players but not a good team, plus they don’t have depth in certain positions. They struggled in qualifying too. I wonder if the Brazilian game is the more likely of a point. Although after seeing hickey last night and Vinny junior their left winger, that would be a concern. Although once Christie came on we were much better on the right side defensively. Quote
swaddon Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago I think they'll shite themselves against a poor Brazil. Just like Aberdeen did against Celtic when everyone else was beating them under Wilfrid Thingmy. Quote
tlg1903 Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago I think we will be a lot better against Morocco. No danger we will go 2 up top which will get Christie back in the team. Quote

swaddon Posted 36 minutes ago Report Posted 36 minutes ago We had no chance against Netherlands in 1978 and beat them. We were supposed to get a hiding from England in Euro 2020 and didnae. We were expecting to get something from Germany two years ago today... actually, forget that last one. Quote
