Kowalski Posted June 11 Report Posted June 11 It sounds like the Beeb are going to be broadcasting from a green screen in Salford, well I have to say ITV have knocked it out of the park with their studio location overlooking Lower Manhattan! Cracking spot. Just a shame Gary Neville is there to spoil it. Also, the Rest is Football are doing a daily show on Netflix from what looks like central New York. Their set looks like they are doing a cooking show on Channel 4 on a Sunday morning ! Quote
swaddon Posted June 11 Report Posted June 11 Good on the BBC for not wasting money on flying everyone out to North America. It's either a cost saving exercise, or the USA won't let some of them into the country. 1 Quote
Kowalski Posted June 11 Author Report Posted June 11 It was great to see an interview with Geoff Hurst about 1966 in the build up to Mexico v South Africa. Just what we all wanted! 1 Quote

wee toon red Posted June 12 Report Posted June 12 What on earth was going on after the usual squad did their post-match bit after the opening game? The man v food guy pretending to be excited about Canada and his co couch occupier calling the Sweden coach Gareth Southgate?! Quote
Kowalski Posted Monday at 16:29 Author Report Posted Monday at 16:29 Have to say Emma Hayes has been a decent pundit on ITV so far (although the blackboard wasn’t very high tech!). In fact if they had just ditched Neville and Wright, ITV would be doing not bad. Rather have an informed and knowledgable pundit than somebody who just likes the sound of their own voice. Quote

It's always going to be pish. We're watching through the lens of another country. The next independence white paper should include a plan to have our own coverage of tournaments. With Willie Miller and Duncan Shearer. Quote
Kowalski Posted 1 hour ago Author Report Posted 1 hour ago Emma Hayes has been quite insightful but ITV have stitched her up by putting her in front of a blackboard. Cue a bunch of memes circulating… Quote
