First dons related observation is no Luis Lopes in the Cape Verde squad Nope, but I did get a panini sticker collection book, covering the years 1977 to 1985, for Xmas and it is ace. It is off the scale how old certain players looked back in the day. Ernie McGarr, a goalkeeper for Airdrie, looked about 60 and was only 25. I don't think I ever collected the WC stickers, as afraid I have never been big into international fitba. 1 Quote
BigAl Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago World Cup stickers, a poor relation to collectable items of yester years Somewhere in my loft, I still possess the entire Esso 1970 World Cup coin collection. These were given away with petrol purchases and no, before some smart arse suggests it, even I wasn't old enough to drive then 1 Quote
swaddon Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago I'm guessing it's about £10 for a pack of stickers these days. 1 Quote
Jute Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago I had the sticker books from 78 to 86 and bought my brother the 90 one and my nephew the 98 one so I could secretly keep doing them. Not be doing it this time as daughter said she would rather I just gave her the money. 1 Quote
