Oh, I'm quite ruthless about chucking the no longer useful & the no longer loved away (yes, really ) but books rarely fall into that category.

I think they are brilliant if you frequently do a whole lot of travelling but I like my book books. I still have every book I've ever owned from when I was a child.

I took the trout to be just a memory.I didn't quite get the bit about the fish at the end, was it trying to say that there were places where the world was habitable and food was plentiful, or is it referring back to a time in the past? -
Stuart MacBride's Sawbones reads like My First Fisherprice Crime Story. Not good.

Bleak is right.
The Road is both heartbreaking & fascinating. The style of writing, although obviously appropriate, rubbed me a bit but it's an amazing read that stays with you long after you've actually finished reading. :cliché:
