  1. He's not a left back , he is a right back and a good attacking one too ,,, I would take him tomorrow ,,,, but Osborne also looks really assured playing there but think he is better in midfield. Only thing is that he is quite small tho , but never looked out of place playing AGAINST us with our powerhouse strikers :)

  2. I've mailed Customer services 3 times now and they just say there is a Technical Fault ... It keeps telling me I have to Purchase the Event ,,,, bawbags !!! I go to all the bloody games at Pittodrie and couldn't go tonight but was happy to think I could watch it on Red TV ,,,, WTF !!! Maybe it's the same Technical fault as we have in front of goal :(  :hammer:

  3. Don't really care who scored, how we played or if we actually deserved to win ,,,,,,, although I know the answer to all 3 :) .. just THANK FOOK WE WON cos if we had gone into next week on another defeat then surely the confidence would have been so low that we wouldn't have known where the next goal was coming from, never mind a win.

Well done lads, now keep it up to get all us to a Final day out at Hampden .... but will be interesting seeing Broony's team selection as today's wouldn't have been my first choice but got the win we needed against a very good Slumdee Utd going well in the league

  4. As far as I'm concerned you have to play for the jersey and the fans in EVERY game ,,,, as it's us that pay our money and come to the semi that they are seemingly saving themselves to raise they're game for ( unless they play Queen of the South or Celtic that is ) .... We're also hearing about wage demands, players playing for contracts etc etc ,,,, play well, WIN some games and get a win bonus , get a new contract for playing well .... problem solved !!!!!!!!  :hammer:

  5. Can't believe that nobody has mentioned the tackle that Stokes almost split Jack in 2 and went totally unpunished on Saturday.

No mention on Sportscene either surprise surprise, not even shown, but they did pick on the Malwene tackle ,,, which to be fair wasn't the best but no talk of Stokes means that there will be no after match punishment cos it wasn't a dive for a penalty  :hammer:

  6. Couldn't get to the game today but watched it in the pub and have to admit it was shocking to see the quality of our passing and I was glad I hadn't wasted petrol money driving to watch what I have to describe as a typical end of season shocker ,,,, but hey, it's not end of season yet as there is so much to play for ,,,, you'd have thought  :hammer: !!!!!

Also couldn't believe we had 2 left footers in the middle at the back and Brown played McArdle at Left back as he is a beter in the middle, but thought he defended really well which probably says more about St Johnstone than anything else. FFS that was a stinker of a game that absoutely nothing positive can be taken from  :hammer:

Oh , ps Rae looked so slow I'm sure I've seen custard turn quicker :(

  7. I went along to the Elgin Montrose midweek game at the end of last year and was really impressed with the Montrose front two ,,,, not sure which one was which but they were really quick and ran the channells well , always looking to make runs in behind.

Obviously it's a 3rd Div defence but they really impressed me as they were both very young looking , loads of potential

  8. Jesus I don't think it was that bad!? Aye we lacked cutting edge but it was all Aberdeen pressure and I'd say we were unlucky to a degree. I've seen us play a hell of a lot worse. At least we're still in the cup FFS sake.

Fyvie fucked up one corner. Frustrating? Yes. Did he have a shocker? No. Arnason made one mistake or maybe two where he gave the ball away. It's fuck all to do with him not wanting to be at the club. Just that he's a big game player. We all know that. He wasn't his best against Forfar either. But against Forfar he hadn't turned down the contract yet so no one made such a huge deal of it. ???

Totally agree ...... if a 3rd division team came and parked the bus against us we don't have the quality to break it down an that's all QotS did, with a total freakish breakaway into our half for their goal.

I'm not a huge Fyvie fan but thought he was one of our better players on the day with Jack being the best so why he was taken off is beyond me unless he was injured ... which I couldn't see either  :hammer:

  9. I wouldn't say he has been excellent in any of the games I have seen him play in.

He's been excellent when played in midfield after a dodgy first couple of games ,,,,,, was gutted when Brown started playing him at right back as he broke up most things in the middle of the park and didn't let anyone have any time on the ball.  I've been to all but a handful of the away games and think he was one of the best Frees in a long long time when played in midfield.

  10. The section at the far end next was completely empty, even if the away end was full they would still have outnumbered us by about in a crowd of 11,000 they would have out numbered us by 1000, as it was there was about 7000 of them

Okay Okay I admit defeat but I'm going for the " We had much less than them and sang our hearts out to make it like a home game " road now .... Mind you, we don't sing much at the home games so lets just say Even though we had far less than them we Sang louder longer and Drowned out their Sweetie Wrapper rustling  ::)

  11. Really ? Didn't actually see it on tv , but we were actually overcrowded in the Pay at the Gate stand and there were people with tickets for seats that we were all sitting on as it was a first come first serve basis accordng to the turnstile manny. Great viwe of the Shed and the fans in there were immense. Still think we had more than Utd, sounds good and I'm stickin to that story even if it;s just to wind up the "Shitty Home Support"  ;D

  12. ah ok these have been published on the heritage site, our away support is thus far only recorded for our all ticket games in 2012:

    United 4,072 in a crowd of 11,471

    Forfar 2,633 in a crowd of 3,747

    Huns 999 in a crowd of 46,648

I was at Tannadice and would say that 4072 tickets may have been sold prior to the game but we definitely had more than half of the 11471 crowd with all the pay at the gate fans ,,,, me being one of them as I wasn't sure if I was going to be sober enough to go , fantastic atmosphere,  unfortunately giving The Arabs more revenue and the plastic seats are just as bad knee wise as the old wooden things    :hammer:

  13. Hughes is a good player who’s just lost his way a bit since picking up an injury when he was at Norwich, probably through no fault of his own give Norwich’s rapid progression since he signed.  He was in a couple of Scotland squads only a couple of years ago and I think he’ll do a good turn for us.  He’s a really good passer of the ball, could be good for a few assists, which we most definitely need.  Welcome aboard.  I'm really quite pleased with the business we've done this transfer window.

Totally agree , always played well and ran the midfield AGAINST us so 2 and a half year is a good piece of business in my book, especially with our threadbare midfield just now.

  14. 2 points dropped.

    Nothing to do with Mackie.

We bottled it when we took the lead

Gotta say that we're not mentioning the fact it was a totally deflected goal the Huns got , and we canny score or create chances at the best of times against Kilmarnock Hearts Caley you name it recently (even Dundee Utd we were not great), so at the start of the game think we ALL would have taken a draw, just sods law that it always feels like it was the one that got away at the end of each game wi them these days.

We would have all been extatic if we had gone 1 down and fought back for a draw so lets take the point and move on to get behind the team in getting 3 next week against Dunfermline

  15. Yep, it was definitely Mackie's fault we drew 1-1 today.

Totally disagree ,,, It was obviously the refs fault for not counting that Rangers had 12 men on the park at all time ,,,,,, he didna count himself when he was wagging his fingers counting the players in blue shirts :)  :hammer:

I'm giving the Assistants the benefit of the doubt :)

  16. just asked the question in the other thread, were worth the draw in the end? When I read Mackie was coming on I didnt think we'd get much more. Im satisfied with a point but I had the feeling we could get the three points.

When Mackie comes on these days it's left midfield and that scares the sh*t out of me cos I've seen better ball control from a Juggler with Greased Up Hands and more creativity from from a blind man asked to create a painted logo on a Canvas, so assume that Brown was happy with a draw as well.

But hey, there's nobody better in a Russian Box with his eyes shut at letting the ball hit his head and send us into the next round in Europe  :)

  17. Well, as much as I was gutted to have missed going to the game today I have to say that I was not surprised that we got a point but also not surprised that this draw feels like a wee defeat, but that's all down to wanting to beat the Huns sooooooo much, nothing to do with disappointment in the team itself as it sounded like we were getting pummelled near the end so well done The Dons for coming away from Hunbrox with a point and letting us hear Booooos at the end of coming from the Home crowd for a change other than at Pittodrie.

Rangers are NOt a good team and a good average middle of the table team will one day give them a hiding, unfortunately it's not us with our forward line :(

  18. My mate doon south text me. Normally very reliable or i wouldn't have posted. I asked him his source and he ain't text me back. Hoping he ain't ripping the Piss. Apologies if he is. I Will then proceed to fly doon tae Elgin and batter Fuck out o him.

My thinking is that all is done and sealed but the official announcement and photo shoot won't be till after the Kilmarnock game, cos not as if he can play in it so Broony dusna want the team to lose full concentration on taking the 3 points.

ps Just for the record there's no many folk that can fly DOON to Elgin ,,,,,, and dunna think yer mate will need to book a hospital bed here cos think he's right

  19. Always liked Mark Reynolds when he was at Motherwell, very cool on the ball but deffo as a Centre half/Sweeper behind Craigan ,, NOT a left back. Problem with another centre half being totally left sided is that Considine is the one out the rest of the Backs that has been playing really well and really don't think that works having nobody in the middle with a right foot.

  20. I hate to get into this, but I've played about 300 games in goal in my life. Unless Arnason has a rep for hitting long range missiles, you step up at least to the six so you can cover an balls that run long into the box . YOU SHOULD NEVER STAND ON YOUR LINE  unless its a PK.

Please just give it up, I really don't like my first three points to be spent arguing whether the goalie was at fault. If you are going to start blaming the goalie, then blame the mid who didn't step up and close down Arnason's shot. That's really where the fault lies, never give a guy the chance at that shot.

    Well said

  21. I couldnt give a fuck if Pernis was slightly at fault. It was a screamer. Nuff said!

Agreed, fook me, bloody el ..... can we no just compliment Arneson on a wonder strike and be thankful it gave us 3 points when in reality we were lucky to still be in the game at half time.

Same scenario was St Mirrens equaliser against us from a 30 yeard free kick from Cerny that went in off the bar and made Jason Brown look like a dodgy keeper ..... nobody really mentioned that and it cost us 2 points ,,,,,,,

Guys ,,, WE WON !!!!! Take the strike as a positive rather than try find fault with another keeper .... they make mistakes , thats football and in this case we got 3 points so celebrate ffs and stop taking the shine off it !!!

ps Jason Brown doesn't inspire confidence either but I really don't want any other team saying he was at fault for a future goal ... but he looked dodgy today ,,, but hey ,,, WE WON in front of a fantastic Aberdeen support...  so celebrate instead of sayong that we won by default ,,,,

ps I've been on the sauce so just saying what supporters at the game should be thinking ...
