  1. Thought the young guy Murray played really well at right back on Tuesday. Linked well with Hayes and Jack on that side and got forward a lot. Put in some good crosses.

And then he's not even in the squad for tomorrow. Neither is Zola, take it he's injured?

  2. Needs to be someone from outwith Scottish football if we want to get away from the SPL mentality of "play for a draw hope we get the odd win"

A young ambitious manager hoping to make a name for himself rather than someone who just wants to play safe to keep their current job for as long as possible.

Someone with little to no knowledge of our current squad so the players are judged on ability rather than reputation (past or present). Get the new manager in ASAP to clear out the shite this summer rather than having to put up with them for the start of next season.

None of these things will happen with Brown still involved.

  3. Fraser has been taking a lot of them lately and he does not get enough pace onto it which makes a lot of them easy to collect by the keeper.

This is the main reason although it's not limited to Fraser. Every one of our crosses seems to be "floated" in which never work. Too easy to defend. Crosses need to have pace as much as accuracy.

  4. Agree with much of the above. I actually turned off as I got bored of the "oh look at how wonderful our lives are", particularly after the guy claiming he loved fishing and would be dragging his anchor over the course before going "we'll I haven't actually been fishing in a couple of years but I might do again someday".

The documentary seemed to be mostly against CPO's as a concept entirely, not how they were used in this case specifically so how that's Trumps fault I don't know.

  5. This.

It has something about it that makes me think it might possibly be a really good sport, but I just get fucked off with the whole stop/start nature of it.

Watch NFL Redzone on Sky Sports red button on a Sunday night. 6pm till around 1am with no adverts. They skip from game to game showing all touchdowns/highlights and focus on games that are in "the redzone" (last 20 yards). If a timeout is called they just skip to another game. Awesome stuff.

  6. Snap!

will try and catch the game on the radio though.

We were going to try get to a game in London on the Saturday but with our flight time it's a bit tight for the 3pm kickoffs. We'll just settle for Soccer Saturday somewhere. Have you been to a NFL game at wembley before? First time for us.

  7. I'm not usually a fan of the 4-3-3/4-5-1 system because the wide attackers can too easily be dragged back into midfield but we seem to be avoiding this too much. Having one of the 3 midfielders push far up too has been good. I thought Rae played well in that role but Hughes' movement wasn't good enough to play there. Pawlet played there against Arbroath and linked up with the striker really well. Hope to see him in there when he returns.
