Hoping for a major improvement from last season and looking forward to seeing the new players.
After last years debacle its really time for McGhee to start earning his crust.

Seemingly live commentary of the game, Poyet being interviewed just noo
-
This is the most confident that I've been with AFC and McGhee since the first Sigma game.
A fit Hartley leading the team might be the difference between top 4 and bottom 4
Come on you reds!!! etc etc
-
Would rather see a creative midfielders or two coming in rather than another unknown lower league striker.
-
To be honest, League 1/Championship level players sound a perfect level for us right now. Got to be better than Dutch amateurs.
Wasn't Grassi an amateur? although nae Dutch he was probably at the same shyte level as JC's trialists.
-
Might be ok however our targets appear to be sinking lower and lower, so far we've been linked to premier league youth players to championship youth players to 1st division youth players and now lower league journeyman
-
Cannot believe folk are saying losing to any of those three team is acceptable.
Its nae acceptable however now that we're in the midst of McGhee's revolution its more than likely.
-
A depressing 4 for me.
Can't remember the last time I went into a season with such trepidation.
-
Whilst I agree he had a good first season what do you suggest about made captain which caused Kerr to have a poor second season? To me his passing collapsed but he couldn't pass worth a fuck at dundee utd either !
Being captain you have to motivate others around you too play better, Kerr wasn't up to that therefore the whole side suffered.
I've mentioned afore that IMO Kerr is a grafter and will tackle and chase possession all day long, however he desperately needed a Nicholson type player alongside him.
-
its like another signing for us - hes been like a man down since he arrived here ))))))))
Nae quite true, had a good first season however McGhee then decided to make him captain and the lynchpin of our team.
Alongside a good creative midfielder Kerr could have done a good job for us.

There's probably no-one at the club more deserving of a testimonial than Darren, which actually kinda depresses me a little bit.
But if it is gonna happen count me in

Best thing aboot Stirling is the safari park, which might explain why this loons the size of an elephant, as ugly as a monkey and probably smells
* Never actually been to the safari park at Stirling
-
I was sitting at the game last night trying to understand why there were no youth players on from the start.
Yip, and why McDonald was back into the squad
-
McGhee will come good. He's done good stuff 'n' that before.
Exactly
Uncle Ebbe came here with a superb record (un)like McGhee
Had a ropey first season just like McGhee
Did we sack him on this one blip?, nah we ground it out and reaped the rewards in later seasons.
In Ebbe we trust.
-
Actually thought he player ok last night, one of the best out of a very bad bunch.
Nae sure if he should sign though, his card is well and truely marked with part of the support and a new start is mibbe best for both parties.
-
I thought this was going to be about that poem of Kipling's he wrote with MM in mind...
-
Murmurings on the hat that Willie plus other high profile names will soon be departing, mibbe Meldrum and others? (hopefully its Mcghee ana likes)
True?, Shyte? who knows?
-
Ex McGhee player who has struggled to hold a place in a mid table English 1st division (i.e. old div 3) side - hmmmm, nae overly enthused by this like.
-
Cannae argue much with that unfortunately
-
Yip, for £5k / week you'd think he'd walk the SPL and score for fun, when in reality he's nae been much better than Mackie.
-
I don't know, personally I look at the players and regardless of who the manager is you'd expect them to put effort in. In a lot of games the effort hasn't been there. I don't know the cause of it but I blame the players for not trying for a lot of our problems.
What players in your opinion don't try?, as mentioned earlier I defo reckon McDonald and Aluko however that's the only 2 I can think off just noo.....I suppose Miller can also be added when he was here.
Grassi, Mulgrew and maybe MacLean kinda look like they're at half pace but I assume that's their style
A'body else, i.e. Kerr, Young, Diamond, Ifil, Fyvie, Pawlett, Foster, Mackie, Considine, Duff etc are usually always bombing aboot, albeit with zero impact the majority of the time
-
Pity this season appears to be down to all the players and nae the manager
Apart from McDonald on occasion I cannae really think of players who could be classed as 'non trying' (would also add Aluko however he cannae really be classed as 'experienced' shirley?)
In the whole I'd say our problems are mair down to zero creativity, no tactical nous, baffling formations, poor substitutions and a lack of a plan B when its all going pearshaped.

Yip, we tried, we failed
Next please.
Aberdeen FC Statement 10/11/10

Nae sure if it was an official statement or just journalists putting 2+2 together
Seemingly radio Scotland saying that the board meeting still continuing.
