Aye awsome stuff indeed.
9 goals in 8 games, with 1 win en-route - despite having 4 games at home!
Excitings times indeed - I prefer to see us win games, but if drawings your thing than maybes we should have kept calderwood
So fucking what? it was the best European run for over 25 years...or however long. Get over it.....
....yes QoTs etc was shite but for fuck sake enjoy the fact that we were fucking awesome for a while.

someone posted a thing for people who wanted to shoot people ... but it was only for a shotgun...this is for apistol

....the reality for football in Scotland is that teams rely on gate money at home games as a large % of their income. The games against the OF generate the most money....
...I agree, it is sad. this is the reality.....
-
There just isn't enough teams with a decent support to make up for lost revenue from losing home games against the only 2 teams with a decent support outside the OF - namely, hibs, hearts and maybe DU.
In no way will games against total shite like Dumpfermline, Dundee, Alloa make up for losing money......hell, the SPHell is a joke as it with Hamilton averaging less than 3k at the home gate and ICT and MOtherwell getting terrible home crowds despite recent 'success'..
i'd love for us to have an 18 team SPL - i think it would be better l-t but financially it isn't a go-er and the SFL clubs havent done anything to show they deserve it...
-
I posted something along those lines on AFC Chat and the post was removed and I had a PM from one of the mods.
...there is a hatred of the Ultras over there that makes no sense....
-
No problems with you posting. It's not my site. I just thought it lacked originality.
well, its easier to regurgitate than to think of something new.....just ask the G20.

Indeed we are
BUT if we win our next two games and the LSC lose theirs, then if my basic maths serves me correctly then that equates to a six point swing and that'll put us one point clear in third place
lets hope so.

The Merkland would be a good singing section. You could put the kids in the DD and provide good kids entertainment on the DD forecourt or inside the stand...
-
Didn't you post the same thing on idiotchat too?
similar post, yup. big deal. last time i looked there was no law saying you cant post on different AFC chatrooms.
It was getting a little boring over there so ive come over here for a while, unless ofcourse this is a local chatroom for local people?
-
even if i was in Aberdeen i wouldnt protest, not my thing. but i have been known to boo the team at half time and full time ....apparently that is objectionable to some people....each to their own.
-
Absolutely, but why do it during the build up of a crucial match that could see us go third?
between now and the end of the season every game is crucial, so when exactly do you think a good time for people to express their frustrations will be? this is the first opportunity since the debacle against dumpfermline so its natural that if they want to protest now is the game to do it at.
PS : we cant go 3rd cos we are 5 point behind
-
Either that or you use your gut more often than your brain.
could be. as i said ive given him the benefit of the doubt up to noe but ive seen enough now to say that he should go. no idea what the alternative is but that isnt what the poll is asking.....
-
I think it is if it is a) going to embarass the club we support b) Have a negative impact on the team BEFORE a crucial game c) Actually achieve what you want it to.
Either way, whichever stand point you are of, it is an important discussion to be had. JC is just fine
I think the club is big enough to survive a protest.
It is a crucial game but every game at this time of year is, also , the team shouldnt be put off by it. It ought to inspire them, they were fucking awful against Dumpfy and deserve stick, probably as much as JC.....and again, they are playing a poor Caley team so they ought to beat them anyway...
I have no expectation of what the protest will achieve. I think it is the right of fans to have a little demo and to make their feelings heard.
-
I see what ye did there... inspired!
The timing of the protest is what most folk have a problem with... that and the fact it's being (poorly) orchestrated and (shambolically) organised by fannies who claim to "know best".
Well, I'm not going cos. I'm in London. I think that in a free society you can do what you want. Some people are just frustrated by going out against Dumpfermline in the cup (it was the last straw for me) ..... as for it being poorly orchestrated and organised, well what is there to organise? turn up at Broadhill, protest, watch match, go home.....its pretty simple.....what else do you have in mind? it isnt like the people who are protesting can advertise in the paper for support, or email all season ticket holders is it?
At the end of the day, if people bother or not is up to them......
-
JMG. I've had enough, too many defeats to shitty teams. I have no alternative though and I have no solutions, this is just a gut reaction from me...and as there are more nerve endings in your gut than in your brain I trust my gut more.
-
Oh please. Deploying such childish plays on words in a thread addressing an important subject says so much about the value of your opinion I'm afraid
oooh, get you. would JC be too informal for you? ..... i don't think this is an important thread, thus I can call our manager anything i like.
-
We are playing Inverness Caley, not Bayern Munich. The protest (if it happens) should have no affect on the confidence of players.....if it is sufficiently vocal then hopefully itll alert the board to the shortcomings of Calderplank....
I was willing to give Calderplank the benefit of the doubt up to the Dumpfermline game...after that I'm afraid the clown has to go.....one too many awful defeats, despite some great games, is too much...

...don't care....history forgets how you got to a cup final...just that you were there.
In a country like Scotland with so many shitty teams it isn't unusual to have an 'easy' route to a cup final.
