This charlatan has no clue tactically, yesterday he said we played a high pressing game in the 1st half. Vastly overpaid and club getting folk to pay DNA money whilst he earns a fortune for doing nothing

Its a forum and all about opinions, however I don't agree he is a charlatan or technically clueless. Clearly his team have been underperforming for some time, and the entertainment level has fallen off.

But it is worth considering we are bedding in half a new team here, when we consider the 3 January signings got a few weeks and Ojo and Bryson have been injured for much of the time since we signed them.

The assembled squad looks as strong as any group we have had for a generation, he needs to be given a opportunity to work with the squad, and demonstrate our new football philosophy. We seem to be operating at a different level as far a player recruitment goes, and that brings additional expectation and pressure for the manager.

However you may get your wish as its unlikely Dave Cormack will view anything other than a close 3rd place as the minimum acceptable performance level, if or when that looks unachievable DC will likely make the change.

  2. Hugely disappointing performance, never got close enough to them when they had possession. As has been said by many others, Ojo, Bryson and Ferguson were poor.

Bryson has never looked match fit in any game he has played for us.

There was not one aspect of our recently publicised footballing philosophy on display as far as I could see.

On the positive side the new Redtv International was excellent, another positive reflection of Dave Cormack and his impact on the club, the previous version was a reflection of Milne, just the absolute bare minimum to get by, like being happy finishing 8th in the league.

  3. Lived and worked in Kazakhstan 7 of the past 15 years. Shymkent is a very poor city, close to the Uzbek border, it has a reputation amongst other Kazakhs for crime and dishonesty. It will be a nightmare for the team, temperature in the evening may still be above 30 deg C. No decent hotels, mid season in Kazakhstan.

For anyone thinking of travelling, best option probably via Almaty. Not sure how the flights line up but will probably mean an overnight there.

The good news is that UK citizens can stay for 14 days without a visa.

  4. On the flip side, Hibs are coming up needing to strengthen in a few areas and have money to spend and Hearts are also needing to replace half a team and also have money to spend.

With not too dissimilar wage budgets, better training facilities and with Edinburgh being more attractive as a place to live for most people with no ties to the north east, we may struggle if we're competing in the same market for players that are proven up here but surplus to requirements for their English teams.

every silver  lining has a cloud.

  5. Wishing you every single piece of bad luck going Ryan.

As these deluded bigots still think they should be watching the equivalent of Gascoigne and Laudrup, they are in for a bit of a disappointment with Jack.

Paraphrasing the article in todays Scotsman, he doesn't score, he doesn't tackle, he has almost no assists, he doesn't take free kicks or corners.

  6. I'm not shocked. Did play well against them last time out.

However I am concerned. Stockley is a  walking red card. I hope to hell he can keep his elbows down and his gob shut but not confident of either

my thoughts exactly, irrelevant of ability or tactics, can Stockley make it through the match without getting a red?Anyway come on you reds, and no more mention of Jack in other context than a member of our cup final team.
