  1. Yeah it is quite sad looking through these lists and seeing the difference in the quality of players. I'm one of the younger ones so wasn't about for the 80's success and only really started watching mid 90's onwards.

    My three favourites:

    1. Jess

    2. Anderson

    3. Jamie Smith - controversial choice perhaps but when he was fit he was brilliant and he's from my hometown. Presented me with a player of the year trophy when I was at Boys' Club as well.

  2. DM's comments in the media about Shinnie and Jack forming a good partnership worry me. Does that mean that's how he intends playing this season? Think we miss out massively with Shinnie not being left back. Considine does a job there but doesn't provide as much going forward.

  3. i think from the angle he couldn't have hit the far corner. there was only one place he could score and it was through the keeper. to be fair, it is nit picking of the highest. i take the point about balance. just hate seeing it go through a keeper's legs. if it gets battered into the far corner then fair enough it's a cracking strike.

  4. Bit of a pet hate of mine, but hate seeing keepers get beat through their legs at their near post. I realise they're trying to make themselves bigger but if he'd kept his legs shut they wouldn't have scored their first. Nearly got caught out for this later in the game but managed to shut his legs quick enough to knock it out for a corner.

  5. i feel like there isn't enough depth in the squad. i personally thought the priority in the summer was a left back, central midfielder and a striker. with Robson looking like the legs have gone, Jack and Flood was never going to be enough in the central midfield area, had to rely on Hayes playing in there on Saturday. i'm not sure we needed another centre half. Considine could have played in there. I don't rate Taylor at all, he looks like he's going to cost us a goal in every game. We made one sub on Saturday, McInnes doesn't seem to have faith in anyone on the bench. I know we had a young bench on Saturday but he's been the same no matter who is on it. with Flood being out for the near future i reckon we need to look at bringing in another central midfielder with a bit of fight.
