  1. There's a fair amount of confidence down here in NW England from folk who know Burnley fans we will get 4000. Quite a few games Burnley have given this out as the allocation in the past to the likes of Sunderland and Leeds etc. How anyone from down here who goes when they can will qualify for tickets is a different matter.
  2. Silly me Ticket info Ticket info Tickets for final are A?25 and A?10 U16 for Jock Stein Lower. ALL ORDERS BY 12pm this Thursday, either by PM or stevenherbert@hotmail.co.uk. Pay between 28th Feb and 2nd March, arrange by e-mail, We have an unrestricted allocation for SC's. There is a family section if anyone wants that and the club says sitting will be rigorously enforced there
  3. NORTH OF ENGLAND BUS TO CUP FINAL - Sunday 16th April Exiled Reds are running a bus for the League Cup Final from the North of England. The bus leaves Barrow-in-Furness 7.30am calling at: Carnforth Railway Station, Penrith and Carlisle Warwick Road £25 a head (u12 £15) If interested please e-mail stevenherbert@hotmail.co.uk
  4. Great day out, train from North West England with a carriage of Dandies drinking and singing on the way up- neer seen that, ever. Great result, fully deserved, real character in this side too, kept going and going- we would have lost or drawn that in the last 5 years and arguably longer.
  5. I fear being this optimistic. Looked at the team they put out in Perth- who would get in our side? Sutton? Yep, it'll end in frustration and disaster probably, but this side look to have some backbone about them so you never know..
  6. Sorry Mizer didn't see this. Yes he was- has been to more than me this season- 6th game tomorrow night and 16 this Saturday!
  7. We have been going really well as a club in our 7th year, with members at all away games so far and also Celtic at home. We don't run buses, but sort out tickets together and travel. Here's a few possibilities: Falkirk- 2 going in a car from Carlisle-possible lift St Mirren following Monday- Possible 1 space in car going from Barrow in Furness, pick up Carlisle. Hibs Away Oct 26th- 8 going from North of England, most on the Lancaster-Edinburgh train but from Leeds- Edinburgh also. This club's serves two purposes- it's for Exiled Dandies and their families to sort tickets together and also helps lads and lassies from the North of England who have an interest in Aberdeen and Scottish football get to games. You can contact us at stevenherbert@hotmail.co.uk or on Twitter as barrow aberdeen @standfreebarrow We also have a closed Facebook group which we use to make arrangements. If you are interested in any of the above get in touch Stand Free
  8. Third We have a reasonably experienced SPL squad, we've brought in width, and barring too many injuries shoud have a side on a par with one of the middling years under Calderwood. That will be enough, which is a touch dispiriting for Scottish football, but good enough for us. Celtic will win the league, I think Utd will be second. Hearts will be in a state, Hibs rebuilding, and I just don't reckon Motherwell can sustain another year. You'd expect Dundee to go down, although I wonder about Caley this year of they have a bad start.
  9. EXILED REDS SEMI FINAL INFO- TICKETS AND DISPLAY Righto- the club have been in touch. I have to put our order in by 27th but to be honest it's better in A.s.A.P It's £15 for adults and £5 under 16 for the Singing Section. There's the Family Section for those who can be arsed or £23 along the side. I would like orders on here or by e-mailing stevenherbert@hotmail.co.uk by Sunday, where we can arrange payment by electronic transfer. Also, at present we have 5 going up on Friday for the display setup and staying over, we have places in Eurohostel at £15 a head for that. STAND FREE
  10. It's quite tricky to get there and back at a decent time on the train from south of Carlisle, so what we are looking to do is fill a few cars, leaving from Lancaster 10am, then Carnforth Railway Station 10.30am, then Carlisle 11.30am. Times are approximate and depend on who's coming from where. Probably £15-20 petrol We've got one carload already, but have a few more possibles, including someone driving up from Preston. Have a think folks and either reply or PM on here, facebook, or e-mail stevenherbert@hotmail.co.uk. The more we get, then we can see about tickets etc.
  11. Nae bother. The midfield needs sorting out, but with the injuries, we are doing well enough I guess. The hype around Fraser Fyvie mystifies me. In my (admittedly limited) experience of watching him , he's gone backwards since the injury. He's got something, but certainly not out wide.
  12. Fallon was absolute gash, beyond shite and shouldn't be near a football pitch . Hughes not much better. Fyvie has a long way to go. Uchechi was OK, bright, lively and not afraid to get kicked.
  13. Don't come on here much and am less than useless at making groups on that Facebook I may open it up-silly me. Jute means my young lad. And it's been a whiley since I saw you and Mizer, hope all are well. Still, we've got about 25 names started and there's 7 or 8 coming to Dumfries from Barrow, Carlisle and Leeds. Thanks Granite City Reds
  14. http://www.facebook.com/groups/161583440621411/ Cheers pal
  15. A few friends and I have decided to start the Exiled Reds again to cover the North of England. This will be for sharing transport to games and organising tickets etc for Reds and their families who live in England and need help getting to Aberdeen games as much as they can . There will be no charge to join. We need as many as possible to register details, but to start with it would help if you went on the follwing FB link, joined and declared an interest, http://www.facebook.com/groups/161583440621411/ Stand Free
  16. My lads favourite game, although for me there was something special about the Dnipro away game. The team and whole staff walking accross to applaud the support before the game...Plus I was on the moon after 2 hours sleep in 48! Great night, back of the RDS going crazy as Copenhagen just imploded though. Best game? Nah, old enough to have been spoiled.
  17. Aye, a lot of money in Junior Football is 'cash in hand', but as long as there weren't too many rules they might go for it. It's long overdue anyway, except we should be jetissoning 4 of the 40 into these regional leagues and go for 2 leagues of 18. And extend the Scottish Cup way, way back like they do in England, starting the big teams a round earlier. Change the Junior Cup into every team under the 2 divisions.
  18. I believe that individual journalists at all national and local papers, radio and independent telly were also informed over the last few days. Personally, I am more disappointed with the lack of reaction in the AGM
  19. "Pity no-one else that was there shares your view of the events. Everyone else must be wrong" 100% correct, and you had squared up to at least two folk even before you got there. You need to sort yourself out. As to the game, Caley were awful, and we ascended the dizzy heights of quite good, with some nice movement for a change. The goals were taken really well. A good Xmas crowd and enjoyed the train home. Thanks for making the wee man so welcome as usual
  20. Basically the Dons fans are getting to lay out any banners/flags etc we want behind the goals in the old celtic end as it shall be empty. Just thought some might like to know in advance
  21. Mods if you could sticky this it would be much appreciated. The 20th of December sees one of the biggest games at Pittodrie for many a year. We hope to add to the atmosphere by producing a top class display to help inspire the team. However, with all the big games we have had this year, we are becoming stretched financially as a group. All the displays are funded by donations and fundraising. We need the help of the Red Army in three ways. 1) Participate in the display on the night 2) People to help with the set up of the display on one night before the Copenhagen game and on the day of the match. 3) Donations- However small, if you can manage it will make a big difference to what we will be able to produce. Displays would never be possible without the fantastic support and participation of all Aberdeen fans, in any way possible. Please help us to make this happen by emailing or paypal redultras@gmail.com Stand Free RU
  22. Righto, here goes. Mods, I would appreciate if you could sticky this After the fantastic result in the week, we have two enormous European nights to look forward to at Pittodrie. The display that the Red Army took part in helped set the tone for the atmosphere at the home leg, and was really appreciated by the players and staff. We hope to do even better on our next two European nights. However, we need your help to offset the extra cost. The RU are independent of, and receive no money from the club, so rely on fund raising activities and donations from all around the world to support the displays. Any donation would really help make Pittodrie a wall of colour for the great games to come. If you can help, please go to www.redultras.net and click the donations link
  23. At present our best player is Zander. Chris Clark never quite seems to believe in himself- to stamp himself on a game.
