  1. Of course there are many varying reasons and factors here, but in an ideal world, I'd like to see an experienced ( ish ) Manager coming in and keeping Robson and Agnew as the main 2 Coaches / Assistant. Finances, potential new Manager wanting own staff, Robson may not want the job ( maybe wants to cut teeth elsewhere ) and Agnew may only be here temporarily. But for me, this would be the perfect scenario, I was warming to the idea of Wilder, with Robson and Agnew beside him, but paper talk suggests he's not interested. My next preference would be Jacob Friis, got his UEFA Pro Licence in 2015, managed a 42% Win ratio as caretaker Manager of AaB before becoming head coach at Viborg, where he's currently sitting with a 55% Win ratio. Been involved in Coaching/Management since around 2005 so he's not exactly inexperienced. He's a Danish Coach, doing well thus far on his own and with the addition of Robson and Agnew as part of his staff, I think we'd be on to something. Most likely pipe dreams, but again, for me, it can't be the Lambert's, Lennon's etc... we need to think outside of the box, just my opinion.
  2. For me personally, Wilder, Agnew and Robson as the Manager, Assistant & 1st Team Coach respectively. You're getting plenty top level English Football Coaching there, experience and probably a host of contacts that could be utilised. Would be my preference as opposed to the other names being linked. Wilder's Managerial statistics below, for anyone interested.
  3. Welcome aboard Ylber, hope he fits in and adapts quickly enough. Took this from MTK Budapests website, does this mean there were a number of clubs interested in him? From the Scottish, Danish, Polish and Swiss options, our club matched the four-time Scottish champion in accordance with the will of the player.
  4. Interesting reading the various comments on here and Social Media in general. There has been quite a bit of vitriol surrounding the whole thing, McCrorie could be the Captain this coming Season, not really basing it on anything other than the way Goodwin spoke about him and the fact we'll have a rather different squad next Season, but there's a good chance it could be him. Does that change anyone's opinion, probably not nowadays as it's not seen as important as it was, or should be! Do you remember when Gary Neville blanked Peter Schmeichel in the Tunnel when the teams were the wrong way round? United vs City, Neville was cold as fuck with him despite their bond and friendship from playing together and winning all sorts as teammates for years prior to this, you can absolutely bet that SAF himself made sure that friendship meant fuck all, he was the enemy now. That mentality has gone from the game now, I am absolutely with Roy Keane when he rants about players cuddling and laughing etc... before the game and after it, I am sure you've seen it, there's plenty of it going around on YT, then you've got absolute nobodies like Micah Richards laughing at him and taking the piss, Micah Richards for fuck sake I suppose I am veering off topic here, but in a round about way, I'm not. Our potential future Captain, in my opinion, shouldn't be videoed celebrating when Rangers scored and showing disappointment when they lost, or having photo's with Rangers fans etc... I completely appreciate his Brother plays for Rangers, and no doubt his Family would have had it planned to go over and support him as well as have a Holiday, but could he have been a bit more discreet about it, knowing as many of you have mentioned what it's like nowadays regarding Social media and the very, very good chance that he'd be photographed and videoed & knowing that it would have had this sort of reaction from a percentage of the Club that currently employs him, fans. I didn't like seeing McGinn sit with Celtic fans, more recently our current Manager sitting at a Celtic game, and now McCrorie too, I'm sure there's more, but do I doubt their commitment to Aberdeen, absolutely not, especially not McCrorie, boy gets battered, stuck in, knocked over and back up again at full pelt, he gives everything, I would have zero objection to him being our Captain, I would like though, to see that mentality back, which I alluded to with SAF and the Neville/Schmeichel tunnel incident, I think it's sadly lacking these days and it should come from the Manager and be drilled into the Players. I accept this is a long post which is mainly a pile of pish, but I hope you understand my point and why I absolutely see it from both sides.
  5. Don't know if it's been mentioned in here, but apparently Jenks is off early as well, so he won't be here the final 2 games. I know he's not really featured anyway, just thought I'd add it to the thread.
  6. WARNING - The song below may offend some. Personally think it's the best Love song ever written
  7. Been very critical of Ferguson in the past, but he was excellent 2nd Half yesterday. Barron was excellent throughout. Young Ramsay needs to reset mentally, he needs to keep his head down and get back to where he was pre December, he's quite a liability defensively, I hope that comes to him the more he Plays, offensively he's very decent, felt sorry and annoyed at the same time yesterday when that OG went in. Centre Backs for the most were comfortable. Overall it was a good performance and a much needed 3 Points. Thoroughly deserved. Last word to Porteous, you're a fucking cretin and a very average defender, still young enough to grow up and mature into a good defender, but I fear the boy is too stupid. Onto Dundee next, will be a scrappy game, won't be much quality on display, but it'll be a good indication in terms of the pressing and dig we've lacked a lot this Season, take care of that and we will win comfortably in my opinion.
