Most folk try and do a dry January but not me as impossible not to indulge on New Years Day or Burns Day. Instead I am going to go for the month of February. I've always liked whisky but didn't really touch it for 20/25 years until 10 years ago. A bottle would last 12/18 months in our hoose. When I discovered a new vintner, he offered me a taste of Bruichladdich XVII and I bought a bottle. I bought 5 bottles of it in 5 months but probably overdid it, not that you can get it anymore but it was that that switched my whisky light back on. A mate bought me a couple of special edition Bruichladdichs 2 or 3 years ago but I felt bad returning them to him because they were wasted on me, very dark and peaty and not my taste at all.
