  1. So what would be an acceptable reason for those season ticket holders missing the game? Many people buy a season ticket knowing full well that other commitments will mean they aren't able to attend every game. They either do it to support the club and/or because it means they can make last minute calls on whether or not they can go. 25% of season ticket seats sitting empty isn't an issue in the games that don't sell out which are 99.99999% of them. I'm pretty sure AFC did a scheme for a while where you could sell your season ticket seat. Whether that scheme is still running or not I don't know. I don't think you've really got any right to be angry at anyone who, for any reason whatsoever doesn't go to a game.
  2. Yes Lee I do. You're far from the only one that struggles to a severe degree with mental health, believe me. But as you'll know all too well life isn't fair! And if you can explain how better to prioritise the more deserving fans I'd still like to hear it. I'm all for change but it has to make sense. I like to watch Liverpool when I can. I've been to Anfield a handful of times. It's very difficult to get tickets and despite the fact I'm travelling a long way I'm still behind Liverpool season ticket holders in the priority list. And in my opinion that's absolutely fine by me.
  3. Who is questioning your desire? Your desire is clearly stronger than mine at the moment. I went to less than half of our home games last season due to a mixture of apathy and ill-health. But I've been a season ticket holder for god know how long which is the club's only way of measuring loyalty unless you can suggest otherwise. So still none of us have been able to come up with a solution.
  4. Lee, are there any other clubs who do it differently whose model we could look at? I'm certainly not a believer in doing things a certain way just because that's how it's always been done and I don't think anyone here has suggested that. Genuinely interested to see how else it could be done. If you got a ticket for Roma at home and a season ticket holder wasn't able to get one as a result of that how would you want the club to explain that?
  5. Hi Al. Inside? I wish! I can only aspire that that level of luxury! Since the pandemic I've been mostly working from home where DT has been a lot further down on my list of work distractions but now I'm back in the office I'm back here too.
  6. Lee, can you answer my question about how you'd change the current loyalty system to make it fairer if it currently isn't fair? How would you measure loyalty? The club (and every single other business in the world) will measure loyalty by cash (attendance). I'm struggling to think how else it could be done. Whilst we, as human beings can appreciate the effort it takes to travel long distances on a semi-regular basis it doesn't entitle you to anything in the club's eyes I'm afraid.
  7. Interesting point of view. Recently (and certainly in the later McInnes era) I was finding myself feeling more inclined to do myself in after attending the games at Pittodrie. I live a 7 minute drive away and often can’t be arsed going. The older I get the more apathetic I’ve become. Jim Goodwin didn’t help matters. As hard work as I’ve found it recently I’ve still renewed my season ticket every year despite swearing I wouldn’t. As Slim pointed out you should get home game tickets no bother surely. You could probably count the number of games we’ve sold out at home in the last 20 years on one hand. Away tickets is a different story. How would you make sure that the most deserving fans got tickets? How would you measure loyalty?

    Coronavirus

False. What paper do you buy? Symptoms and mortality rate of Coronavirus significantly less severe than influenza. 92,000 people worldwide have it. On a planet of 7 billion. It's hardly affecting children and the only people dying are those that would die if they caught influenza anyway. So like Rocket I'm asking myself why is it exactly that every media outlet on earth (seemingly) is trying to make us shit ourselves over this? It hasn't worked on me.
  10. He was a prick for being the only cunt I've ever seen in my life answer his phone in the cinema and have a conversation without having the decency to fuck off outside. Mediocre player at best. I enjoyed Blood Diamond.
  11. Correct. Agreed. Which is why I said absolutely nothing of the sort. He 100% absolutely does work harder than any female on the circuit. I'd bet my house on that. But again that's not the point I'm making. You could compare male and female rivalries all day but again that'd be missing the point. What I'm talking about is the money drawn by the WTA compared to the money drawn by the ATP. (The former being Women's tennis and the latter being Men's.) I don't have exact figures and although what the ladies are drawing has certainly increased (very much helped by the fact that Grand Slam tournaments have been paying equal prize money for years) what the men draw is still significantly higher. Why that is is a matter of opinion. Mine being that what the elite men serve up is significantly better than what the elite women do. And as such I can completely appreciate the argument of "fair" pay not necessarily being split 50/50 between men and women.
  12. That's nae like him! Here was me under the impression that it's only Scottish refs that treat him differently on account of the agenda that exists against him.
  13. That work shy Manc will use his newborn twins as an excuse.
  14. The equal pay thing is another minefield and I'm jumping in. I'm 100% in agreement that, for example, in an office a man and a woman who do the same job should be paid equally. Obviously. That's a no brainer. But to pay female tennis players the same as male tennis players just isn't a fair reflection of the money in the game. And it would be exactly the same with football if the women somehow gain parity. As an athlete or sports person your pay should reflect your level and your influence on the sport. Women play best of 3 set matches in Tennis; but not because they're not capable of playing 5 sets because of course they are. They're athletes and look after themselves. But the painful truth is that next to no one wants to watch a female 5 setter. Pay all athletes/sports people what they're worth regardless of gender. That is true equality.
  15. Liverpool beaten by Atletico. I only managed to watch about the final 3rd portion of the game as I was oot but it seems like the other two games were better. Not that the Motherwell/St. Mirren game is allowed to be televised if CL is on. : Liverpool more than capable of turning round a 1 goal deficit but I did have a sneaky feeling that they'd be bowing out at this stage of the competition this season.
  16. I like VAR in theory. I don't like how it's being used. We need people with common sense sitting in the VAR control rooms. I think it's dangerous for Scotland and I worry that it'll only help the gruesome twosome.

    Walk On Music

For Whom The Bell Tolls would be awesome walk on music.
  18. Very few contenders from an AFC point of view which is why (I assume) you didn't post this in the AFC forum. I enjoyed watching Suarez and Sturridge at their peak a few years back. They scored some amazing goals.

    Films

Still never seen it all the way through for reasons that I just don't remember despite thoroughly enjoying what I have seen of it. Will need to re-visit this one for sure.
  20. Nowhere near the figure of £7m that's being banded about on Twitter this afternoon.

Jojo Rabbit and 1917 were both thoroughly enjoyable. As was The Gentlemen
  22. Cormack is minted. Ergo McInnes oot.
  23. Oh good. That's one of the required criteria that AFC look for met.
