Unsure. Too many star guests, nothing startling music wise. An album too far perhaps.

This probably isn't that helpful but IMO they shouldn't have bothered making one album let alone three.

Agreed.

If he goes back to any of his projects, i'd like him to go back to The Good, The Bad & The Queen, and even then, it's prob best that they left it on a high.

The album's a grower for me.
"Superfast Jellyfish" with Gruff Rhys (could have come straight off the Neon Neon album) and the Lou Reed one "Some Kind of Nature" are excellent.  On Melancholy Hill probably best on album.

"White Flag" is terrible.

Listened to the album on myspace.

A couple of good tracks and a whole lot of generic 'brit-hop' filler.

So, much the same as every other Gorillaz album.

Not sure why some folk in the meedja have been giving this one rave reviews - is the rest of modern music really that shit at the moment? Or is it the fact that it has some classical guff at the beginning and a few properly stellar guests...?

5/10 IMO

Meh. That's all I'm saying...

Thought Stylo sounded ok in the gym - which prompted a listen to the whole album - its not bad, but its not that good either.

I think it's a brilliant album, so diverse and eclectic.  Amazing to think somebody 20 years into his career can produce his finest record outside of Blur.
