  1. I used to like the league cup when it was group stages to start with. The whole thing done and dusted by Bonfire night. I don't think that this would work now due to European football kicking off so early. Who needs another 6 matches (home and away) tacked on to the fixture list anyway?. If memory serves correct, back when the league cup first started off, it was split into North and South sections anyway. I would like to see it all finished before the end of the year though.
  2. From what I've seen of Jack this season, he appears to have grown in stature and become his own man in the middle of the park. Last season he was slightly in the shadow of Flood and Robson. Hopefully he follows the rest of his team mates and see's a bright future at Pittodrie and signs on for another 2-3 years.
  3. I've seen a lot of chancers come and go in football, but this lad is a git. Not only was he out of order in defending Tonev in the Logan racism incident, but he has been bang out of line in his comments over Gary McKay Steven. It may be the Scandanavian way to say what you think, but he should just shut up in his transfer dealings till something has been firmed up. The United lad has of course every right to exercise his right to sign a pre contract agreement with the green half of the ugly sisters, but that Deila has the balls to unsettle the player by talking openly about "If we can do something this transfer window then we will" and think that he has done nothing wrong is incredible. He is a United player for another 5-6 months and Celtic have to potentially play United another 4 times including Scottish cup matches and potential replays. As much as I despised Lennon, this lad Deilla is starting to become equally odious.
  4. Old timer here, used to be on the old AFC Chat under the same name. The team has got me stirring again after a long break away from football. I've been following the Dons for a long time and am delighted to see us ding so well again. Hello to anyone who may remember the old AFC Chat and to those of you who don't.
