He should just snap out of it like Ryan O'Leary.

It's time the other strikers started scoring goals as they're supposed to.

It's good they hold up the ball...make layoffs blah blah but ffs start scoring.

This is where May has done more in 1 game than the other strikers in about 20.

He has everything we need.

I like Maynard, I think he WILL score and be an asset.

I think Rooney and Stockley will feel a bit jealous by May's arrival.

Funnily enough Nips, I like Maynard too. He's done everything but score though in his starts and cameo appearances. He gets in to good areas and seems to be a little quicker than I thought he would be, however, he's really lacking any confidence just now and as Rico says, bringing him on Saturday, when we have a youth winger who's confidence will be sky high on the bench, was rather perplexing.

We had Rooney, Stockley & Maynard all on the bench on Saturday meaning there was no place for Harvie, F.Ross or McLennan. That is strange for me, there's just no need.

Oh, and another one of the myths was exploded this week if you look and read around.  The club revealed Pittodrie CAN be rebuilt but only to 12,000 capacity.

Rather makes - we've nae Plan B thing - sound contradictory.
You've an awful lot to say on this subject, but seem years behind on details. This isn't a "myth" or something new, it's exactly why they are not planning on a Pittodrie revamp, it'd be too small, and they've said so from the outset.  :dunno: :-\

I thought Greg Stewart had an immediate positive impact when he came on on Saturday. He doesn't shit himself when he gets the ball and he seems assured in possession and looks to make something positive happen. Christie had his worst game in a reg shirt but still didn't hide. They're both players that I'd love to sign permanently.

Reynolds, Mackay-Steven and Christie were hopeless on Sunday. In Christie's case, it was just a bad day at the office.  Mackay-Steven I'm really not convinced about and Reynolds, unfortunately, seems to be having more of these days than not. His confidence looks shot, the poor passback was the start of it on Saturday and it never got any better for him. O'Connor gave him a mouthful on a few occasions, especially as he had to run past Reynolds in a few instances to cover where Reynolds should have been.

Positives - May and O'Connor, and Stewart when he came on.  Two fantastic goals from May and he'll go from strength to strength now.
We're not fully firing just now but I'm confident it will come after the international break... get past Thistle with 3 points however we can.

Thank you Kenny for the balls for expressing an opinion.

Time will tell.

I hope I'm totally wrong aboot the boy. He disgusted me yesterday.

Footballers who hide generally make me sick.

That cunt made me seriously sick yesterday.

Hate the cunt already.

No way he hid on Saturday. In fact, when he came on he was one of the few who actually went looking for the ball, demonstrated by his good run down the outside, bringing out a good save from Bain.

I like Stewart, I think he's a good footballer - he knows how to keep the ball and beat a man.  The problem we've got is that it's clear we're not sure how to play our attacking options at the moment.  I'm not convinced playing Stewart off the right side is going to get the best out of him,  in behind May would probably be the best option for him.

Maynard is gash and shouldn't have been signed. I suspect it was a stop gap in case we didn't get in another striker. Would like to see him moved on as he's taking up game time that would be better served for others (Wright should have been on way before him at the weekend for example).

Rooney will be here for as long as is required. Two good strikers fighting for one position is fine. Punt Stockley and promote youth. Given May's injury record over the last couple of seasons, I'd expect to see lots of Rooney this season. Unfortunately, I think McInnes will continue with the Rooney wide left shite for some time to come as he tries to keep him happy and fit with some game time.

I am more inclined with Rockets view, there are serious issues with the side. We are completely imbalanced, if we dont play Wright we have 3 attacking CM's neither of which have pace nor are wingers.

Said it before Mclean is a waste of a jersey, put Christie there and Wright/GMS on the wings.

Considine is being exposed as Hayes pace covered for him a lot better teams will see this and exploit it
