Ah but it's Aberdeen Football Club we're talking about.

Aberdeen.

Should play in Aberdeen.

Don't give me some makey up boundry line in the country and tell me one side of it is the city and one side of it is the shire.

Inside Anderson Drive and between the two rivers is where the stadium should be.

Gridlock in the Lang Stracht at 14.30 on a Saturday afternoon listening to the teams being announced on the radio is not my idea of fun.
I just don't get this repeated complaint. Do some fans really not appreciate how fucking awful Pittodrie is to drive to, and even moreso away from?

Well of course, what you want to happen doesn't really influence events so I'm happy to want a Celtic defeat.

Preferably a Celtic defeat after extra time with a heap of injuries and a couple of sending offs.

Haha, cheers al, that's bloody ages away! being away Ive read a couple of late, in particular Regarding world war 2:

H,H,H,H by Laurent bidet - about the czexhoslovak resistance in the second world war and the Heinrich Himmler. Great read although the short chapters were a bit annoying.

The last train to Istanbul by ayse kulin. Story of the Turkish trying to save both Jews and their own citizens from the hands of the horrible French and the nazis. It's a nice wee story, probably aided my bad feelings towards the French who seem rude and inconsiderate.

After visiting la paz, I'm currently reading marching powder. Excellent read and insight into San Pedro prison.

I want the dhims to win today. 2 reasons.....first being that it's highly unlikely that the manky gits will lose 2 games on the trot to Scottish opposition. Its a fact, unpleasant as it is, that Rasellickbyraway are way out ahead of everyone in Scottish football at present. Their income and cash reserves mean it cannot be any other way for the foreseeable future. Now I can't see them going undefeated all season again but on the flip side I can't see them losing more than 3 games all season either. Naturally I hope it is us who inflict those defeats, one of which will hopefully be in the Scottish Cup (final preferably).

Secondly sevco are in the other semi tomorrow. Motherwell have a decent chance of winning but sevco are on a bit of a run just now and probably will just shade it. Now I detest Celtic. But I want sevco to remain major trophyless for ever. Their dead predecessors cheated to land themselves countless trophies in their dying years, and the SFA colluded with newco's owners and the press to perpetuate the same club myth. so the biggest "FUCK YOU" to them all is to see the rancid tribute act remain trophyless for ever. And sad to say, I trust Celtic more than Hibs to ensure its stays that way....

Can't argue with that logic at all. Pretty much feel the same, as horrible as it is.

Transport problems are going to be the same wherever you build outside the city.

Whats more, the revenue 12,000 - 20,000 people bring to the center of town will be lost.

We just don't have a transport system capable of letting people have a meal and a few pints in Ma's / Prince /Lumpie etc. and then get quickly and easily out to and back from a new stadium in the sticks.

The Dundee police have complained for years about Dons fans taking their cars.
Apparently other teams supporters mostly arrive by bus.
We all know that the vast majority of folk would have wanted to drive to Kingsford.
They would have wanted to get parked easily and cheaply.
They would have wanted to get out of the car park quickly after the game. (very quickly)

So 10,000 parking spaces, organised so you felt you were the only one trying to get in and the only one trying to get out.

Gridlock in the Lang Stracht at 14.30 on a Saturday afternoon listening to the teams being announced on the radio is not my idea of fun.

On a slightly off topic tangent, whoever designed the lanes on the Lang Stracht should be shot.

I think the board will end up saying "game's a bogey" for Kingsford and will end up taking it out the city and into the coonty. Which will alienate the vast majority of fans at least initially.

Hope I'm wrong but just feel that the transport problem solutions will prove unacceptable to the club and that the W.A.N.K.S will be dancing in the streets claiming victory.

So in answer to Redmadders.....yes there will be a new stadium built somewhere. It will never please everyone. But if we have a team based in it that can regularly pump the arse cheeks and deliver us trophies on a fairly regular basis then they can build it wherever the f@ck they like as far as I'm concerned.

The Tims facing the second of their three defeats in a row today.

Shame it has to be Lennon that wins but I'll learn to live with it.
