  1. What?? Is that true-6 k a WEEK?? [quote author=ayrshire_don74 link=topic=19292.msg317732#msg317732 date=1498052407] No one actually knows the wage structure as the accounts dont list player wages seperately, we are barely breaking even, so there cannot be much room for breaking wage structure. It is worth noting that we employ 120 people so the average wage is 50k per year, which would suggest we are paying over 3k per week for certain players. Still annoys me we are paying a CEO 6k per week
  2. If they turned down £600k couple of months ago they should be looking for at least £1.5 milion now with another year added for Hayes. In fact we should start a bidding war instead of being our usual subservient selves when selling players.
  3. I would actually like DM to tell the team first and foremost he wants to see a clean sheet. We need to cut out the stupid errors and defend as a team, which clearly we will need to do in the cup final. I also think Stockley and Rooney up front is worth trying with an eye on the cup final. For me to win the final we need to be direct. Stockley isn't going to score many but he has nuisance value and will provide knock ons, flicks for someone else. Bottom line is season is only about cup final now and it's about doing whatever is needed to win that, including trying different things tonight and not worrying about the result.
  4. The comments about the subs and lack of options are a massive worry for me. McInnes's success rate in getting decent squad players is really poor and given the players we are going to lose this summer I do worry about the standard of player coming in. Saying that if he can't replace Taylor he shouldn't really be a manager. My other big concern is that's another season where no young players have been good enough to break through or given the chance to establish themselves. At what stage do you accept the methods employed are not working?
  5. Utter crap. Without him today we would hAve had no-one holding the ball up.
  6. That score is a worry. Two first team squad players (albeit with no chance of real game time!) against a Motherwell team with no overage players and average age of 17. Something not right there. Given the poor record of developing players who make it into the first team over quite a few years now you would hope serious questions are being asked as to whether the set up is fit for purpose. Certainly the oft repeated phrase about needing to develop our own players has not happened to any great degree. I wonder if young players see Aberdeen as a poor choice with McInnes in charge given lack of opportunity, but also we appear to sign far more young cast offs these days.
  7. McInnes needs to get over his subordinate attitude towards Celtic and Rangers. His post match quote about "frustrating a good Rangers team for long periods" is embarrassing but is a reflection of his mindset. For goodness sake all the evidence is this is a poor Rangers team who we should have been able to deal with comfortably, yet his super cautious approach appears to constantly bring our players DOWN to the level of others. The guy needs to grow a set of balls and start building our club up with words AND actions.
  8. From the horses mouth (McCalls not McInnes) loan only until Jan as McInnes is expecting bids for Taylor in January, and is also hoping to off load Morris. McCall rates McKenna really highly and is surprised he is not playing regularly at higher level.
