Since I'm assuming BobbyBiscuit and Tyrant are about to have another lover's tiff in the Gerrard Retiring from International thread, thought I'd open this up to a vote...

How? We're both agreed that both Gerrard and Scholes are top class players. You're just trying to stir up a bit of a rubble!!

Scholes.  It's a no brainer.

I don't agree that he is "the most complete" midfielder. Although there is no question that he's one of the very best that England has ever produced.

I did see Tyrant's response, I didn't bother replying because I just assumed that anyone who knows anything about football would know Scholes was the superior player.
